Sunsea Divers teach PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) courses - the most widely recognised and respected dive qualifications in the world. Our professional team of experienced dive instructors teach in a comfortable, relaxed and fun environment.
*Try a Dive
If you would like to see what it is like to dive, why not come and have a try with a one hour Try a Dive session. With one of our instructors by your side and in the comfort of a heated pool, we will give you a gentle introduction to the wonders of scuba diving - you really will be surprised at how easy it all is!
*Beginner/Open Water
The most popular dive qualification in the world, the PADI Open Water Diver Course qualifies you to dive by teaching you the fundamentals of scuba diving including both the techniques and equipment. Anyone over the age of 10 who is relatively fit and healthy and who can swim 200 metres can take the course.
*Advanced Open Water
Designed for divers wishing to experience a wider range of diving activities and developing a deeper understanding of diving. Although there is some academic work, the majority of the course is spent enjoying different aspects of diving. It can be completed in two days.
*Emergency First Response
The Emergency First Response course applies to all walks of life and is not specifically related to diving. The course combines First Aid and CPR and teaches you (at a laymans level) the same emergency techniques used by paramedics and doctors. The course, which is very highly recommended to everyone, is the one PADI course that can make a difference even when you`re not diving.
*Rescue Diver
This course is an important step in expanding a diver`s knowledge beyond a purely recreational level and is a prerequisite for all PADI dive leadership courses such as Divemaster or Instructor. As well as being highly recommended, the Rescue Diver Course is one of the most enjoyable diving courses you will take. Having completed the course, you will find that your confidence and comfort level will have increased drastically. Although the course is extremely enjoyable and very satisfying, by its very nature, it is a serious one designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for you to be able to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations and render proper first aid. The primary emphasis of the course is on preventing the need for a rescue.
*Dive Master
If your love of diving interests you in a full or part time diving career, the PADI Divemaster Course is your first step. The Divemaster qualification is the first leadership level in the PADI professional hierarchy. As a certified Divemaster you are able to assist and supervise both training and non-training dive activities in a variety of environments. PADI dive centres employ Divemasters to help with classes as well as lead guided dive tours.

PADI Specialty courses are widely regarded as some of the most enjoyable sought by recreational divers, and earning a PADI Specialty Diver certification means that you`re qualified to engage in that special activity within the scope of your training and without instructor supervision. Each dive in your Advanced Open Water Course is the first dive in the corresponding Specialty Diver Course. At your instructor`s discretion your Advanced dive in the subject can count towards the appropropriate specialty qualification. Similarly if you have completed the specialty qualification your instructor may allow this to count towards your Advanced Qualification.
