Company description Available to divers from as young as eight, PADI qualifications are internationally renowned and respected and whether you would like to `try it before you buy it`, complete your pool and class training before heading overseas to complete your first scuba diving certificate or train as a dive professional, we have a course to suit your requirements.
Equipment, weights, tanks & air fills are all included within the quoted course fees and, where PADI manuals are available, we provide you with your own personal copy to keep for future reference. Classes are kept to a maximum of four students per instructor and we are zealous in reinforcing PADI`s belief that training should be performance-based and not time-based. You learn at the speed that suits you and as a result we produce great divers, who are safe divers - fully equipped to enjoy all that the underwater world has to offer.

Some words about our sepciality courses:
The PADI specialty diving courses are designed to provide divers with the skills, procedures and techniques they require for specialist diving and to train divers in dealing with any particular problems and hazards these specialised dives may present.
Covering a wide range of activities, the courses are a great way to improve your dive skills and maximise your enjoyment of the sport. And for any PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver, Padi Junior Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Rescue Diver or PADI Rescue Diver, who gains five specialty certifications, there is an opportunity to apply for the highest recreational diver rating in the PADI programme - Master Scuba Diver. Subject to entry-level certification, your choice of course could find you exploring the mysteries of submerged wrecks, extending your bottom times through the use of enriched air, capturing that silent drift across the Blue on camera and maintaining perfect buoyancy as you hover effortlessly above the ocean floor in search of a charcoal damsel.

Talk to any of our urbanFISH divers and one of the things that they really like about being a FISH is invariably the opportunity that it provides to book an overseas dive trip and to travel to pastures blue - without the need to find yourself a travelling companion or to organise anything other than your initial booking. The chance to forget all about being urban and to concentrate on the simple pleasures of life as a FISH instead.
And how enjoyable those simple pleasures can be - catching up on your sleep as the bus leaves the airport and heads towards new oceans and long-anticipated dives, sitting on a boat as it cuts through the waves and the sun warms your back, idling along a coral reef or finning silently through anemone covered caverns, smiling at a new-found buddy as you drop into the blue together, hovering silently as a school of jacks circles slowly round you, sharing laughs and swapping stories over cold drinks on balmy, outdoor evenings...
The pleasures are limitless and when you combine these with our guarantee that the hardest decisions that you`ll ever have to make whilst you`re on an urbanFISH trip are which sites you want to visit next and what drinks you want to order next - it`s not hard to see why more and more divers are choosing to join us.

And UK Dive Trips
Having previously only dived in clear blue waters that teemed with life and emerged from dives to enjoy the sensation of sun on our backs, we would be the first to confess that it was necessity rather than desire that initially led us to include UK dive trips in the urbanFISH travel schedule.
The prospect of kitting up in biting winds, struggling into thick neoprene suits, carrying far more lead than we could comfortably handle and dropping into cold waters with zero visibility held very little appeal for us and we simply couldn`t understand why anyone would want to do it.
Until we did it ourselves...
...and discovered that poor visibility was avoidable if we scheduled dive trips for the right time of year, water temperatures were warm enough from May to October to guarantee that we were comfortable in semi-drysuits and drysuit training provided the added comfort of being warm and dry when we emerged from dives. We learnt how to deploy SMBs and to use our compasses for navigation. And in the process, we discovered a whole new world of diving that was every bit as enjoyable and infinitely more accessible to UK-based divers.
Seal colonies replaced dolphin sightings, the choice of wrecks was wider and more varied, anemone-covered cliffs took the place of coral reefs and a profusion of crustaceans, rays and fish had us scurrying to identify a marine life that we hadn`t thought existed.
Needless to say, we hope you`ll want to do it too and look forward to your company as we explore and enjoy all that UK diving has to offer.
