Company description
Sea Horse Dive Center one of the oldest dive centre in Paphos having been established over 8 years ago by a family whose roots are firmly within the Diving community.
The Sea Horse management prides itself on customer service and upholding standards and quality as defined by the PADI system of diving. It has an exemplary safety record, always using the latest equipment and complying with local regulations and PADI International recommendations. We carefully select our staff to ensure that s, employing multi lingual staff, from diverse backgrounds who have dived in a minimum of three countries prior to employment.
Sea Horse specialises in individual service and personalised programmes. As a result 22% of all Sea Horse customers are repeats – quite a startling figure considering that the majority of customers are tourists. We work primarily on personal recommendations and word of mouth. Sea Horse Dive Centre provides training at all levels of PADI system, and prides itself that its typical class size is no more than 4 people. We offer training for complete beginners right through to the Professional Levels of PADI upto and including ASSISTANT Instructor level. We are committed to supporting and training the divers of the future to the highest standards.
Sea Horse recognises the need for diving to fit around other planned family activities while on holiday and so always tries to accommodate individual timetables into any training program. We aim to provide high quality training in a fun and relaxed environment and there is always a cup of coffee waiting at the end of every dive.
Location description:
St. Georges
St. Georges Harbour provides access to one of the most varied and interesting dives available to Paphos divers. After a short surface swim, the site slopes gently down and is home to a large variety of fauna and flora. Features at St. George include a number of fascinating rock formations, a cave at 14m, and the option to explore depths past 30m. Your route back will take you around the break water and back into the harbour before surfacing. St Georges has also proved to be an extremely popular night dive due to the variety of sea life that inhabits the local habitat.
Paphos Beach Dive
A relaxing shallow dive to about 6m, the Paphos Beach Hotel is a superb dive for beginners and experts alike – particularly those of you who may not have been in the water for a while. You’ll find many pieces of ancient pottery, schools of fish such as Wrasse and Sea Bream, and lots of hidey-holes for the odd octopus or two. The slowly changing topography ensures that there is always something new to see – particularly if this dive has been chosen for a night dive. This is a favourite site for many of our instructors, despite having dived it countless times!
Zenobia Wreck
A well organized dive trip to visit the famous wreck of Zenobia in Larnaca
The wreck is approximately 172 meters long and weighs 10.000 tons. In this fascinating dive you can observe Zenobia on the seabed completely intact, and with her original load on board. In addition you can encounter loads of marine life that live in and around the wreck. This trip includes 2 dives and lunch.
Turtle Rock
The Turtle Rock dive shares the same entry/exit as Novaas Bay. After a quick fin out of the bay, those of you with sharp eyes may find - hiding underneath the breaking waves - a turtle just lifting off from the sand. At second glance you`ll realise the amazing scene is actually the natural rock formation that gives this site it`s name. Continuing out of the bay, the bottom drops off to 22m where the water is so clear and still you`ll just want to relax and hang around for a while amongst the Islands in the Sand. Heading back towards the bay, it`s worth taking in the sites and swim-throughs of Novas Bay to finish off an excellent all-round dive.
Airport - Penguin Rock
A challenging walk through shallow water awaits those who embark on this dive. However, the effort is well worth it! Swimming over and through a network of shallow canyons and rock formations, the most striking thing is how beautifully kept this garden is! Because the bottom slopes away so slowly the sun has a chance to bring out some fantastic colours.
