Company description DOLPHIN REEF EILAT, on the shores of the Red Sea, is an ecological site unique in Israel and throughout the world where visitors can enjoy a natural atmosphere, magical views, secluded beach, together with the unusual opportunity of meeting and observing dolphins in their natural habitat.
The Dolphin Reef Dive Center is happy to make your reservations for PADI and SSI diving courses with dolphins. Places are limited and should be reserved in advance.
All dive courses are held at the Dolphin Reef, each day you will dive with dolphins and see a big variety of fish and corals. You will be able to observe the dolphins in their natural habitat hunting, mating, playing and teaching the younger ones. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy both dolphin dives as well as dives at the best diving sites in Eilat. These diving sites include dives on the coral reefs, wrecks and boat dives. Participants enjoy full use of our air-conditioned classroom, personal lockers, private beach, hot showers and lovely beachside bar and restaurant.
Can anybody do an introductory dive with the dolphins? If you are a confident swimmer between the ages of 8 to 88 years old, you can participate in this special activity. You don’t have to have any previous experience with diving.
Is equipment provided? Full scuba equipment including air tanks is provided.
The Dolphin Reef Dive Center has internationally recognized instructors, the most up to date dive equipment, and the latest video teaching aids. Our private beach offers easy entrance to natural pool-like conditions for beginner divers. Our dive shop can supply all your diving needs and our photo shop offers underwater videos of your first diving experiences.
Most courses are available in English, Hebrew and French.
Classes are small (maximum 6 students per course) to provide individual attention. All students enjoy full use of our top grade facilities and careful instruction from our excellent instructors.
Dolphin Reef`s Photo Center, located right next to the Dive Center, offers you the choice of an underwater video or photographs, samples of which you can view at the Photo Center.
Location description: The program “Supportive Experience with the Aid of the Dolphins” takes place in Dolphin Reef, Eilat in Israel. Dolphin Reef is situated in the southernmost tip of Israel at the Red Sea and opened its doors in 1990. It is a tourist place by the desert with a private beach, a botanical garden and facilities such as a restaurant, bar, diving center, relaxation pools, photo shop and souvenir shop.
Surrounded by a lush, green botanical garden are three heated pools - the first is deep, with sea water, the second, shallow with soft fresh water (rain water), and the third with salt water with absolute flotation.
The special atmosphere and surroundings, underwater music and the “relaxation techniques” demonstrated by the staff, all add to the unique and special experience.
Guided dives with dolphins are available to all qualified divers with a logged dive within the last six months and valid local diving insurance.
Dives take place in groups of maximum four persons + a guide.
Maximum dive depth is 14 meters, and dive time is 30 to 35 minutes. During our visit with the dolphins, we will be observing them in their natural habitat hunting, playing, mating and teaching the younger ones. When a dolphin approaches, it does so out of its own free will. We respect this approach by not touching, chasing or feeding them.
For enthusiastic divers who will spend most of their holiday diving, we offer a 6-day dive package.
This includes transportation to and from the Dolphin Reef, a guide and 2 dives a day at a diving site of their choice, which could be either with the dolphins or at the best diving sites in Eilat. The package deal is based on minimum 2 participants.
