Company description We are a long established business, and pride ourselves on our knowledge of the city and its surrounds, as well as on providing true professionalism with desert-style friendliness and caring. Red Sea Sports Club was established in the early 70`s by our director Gadi Ben Zeev as a full-range adventure operator for visitors to Eilat from around the world. Eilat - a small, picturesque city at the time, surrounded by vast desert mountains was about to burst into global tourism awareness.
We are proud to have played a part in making Eilat a fabulous holiday location and bringing it to the travel industry`s awareness.
We offer a variety of activities for you and your family from one-hour activities to few-day adventures, SCUBA diving for beginners and pro`s, guided tours and jeep safaris, lunch cruises and even a fully equipped shooting range. Our friendly, long-standing and co-operative working relationship with our neighbours in Egypt and Jordan allows us to offer visitors a wide range of activities in 3 countries, and take advantage of our great location. Using Eilat as your leisure base can get you to some of the world`s most amazing monuments and attractions in just a day - like Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Massada at our north.
To our east lies our neighbor city, Aqaba (Jordan) on the pathway to the ancient city of Petra. The Sinai Peninsula is to our south with its amazing coastline and mystifying mountain hideouts such as the famous Mount Moses overlooking St. Catherine`s Monastery.
Our team is made up of true professionals and is fully aware of the importance of making your hard-earned holiday successful and relaxing.
Some words about our courses:
* Introductory Courses
PADI introductory courses offer everyone the opportunity to experience the pleasure of the underwater world without being a certified diver. These formal PADI courses are designed to impart maximum knowledge and heaps of fun to those under time constraints, and can be completed in time spans from 1 hour to a few days.
* Diving courses (OWD, Adventure, etc)
This is the first course available through PADI to achieve certification as an open water SCUBA diver.
It is the pre-requisite course for any further training. Armed with your Open Water Diver card, the diving world is your oyster, as the certification will be recognized at dive centers around the globe.
* Specialty Courses
The purpose of PADI Specialty Courses is to familiarize you with the techniques, knowledge, planning, organization, potential hazards and safety skills for various special interest areas of diving.
* Divemaster Course
Divemaster certification is PADI`s first members` level, the first rung on the ladder of professional diving. The course includes intensive dive theory knowledge development, and the honing of diving skills to demonstration quality.
* Open Water Instructor
The PADI Instructor Development Course is designed to prepare PADI Divemasters to become PADI Instructors. PADI is the world`s largest diver training organization and offers the finest Instructor training programs available.
* Specialty Instructor
The MSDT comprises five Specialty Instructor courses during a five day period. PADI Specialty Instructor training courses train instructors in the organization, conduct and marketing of PADI Specialty courses.
* Technical Courses
Certification courses for recreational divers wishing to use Enriched Air and other.

Location description: We offer trips and liveaboards. Our vessel, the Orionia is 33-metre wooden schooner built in Spain in 1926. She is a beautifully crafted, immaculately maintained boat with a capacity of up to 95 passengers and eight crewmembers. The Orionia is our main cruise vessel. She has served Red Sea Sports club for many years and has become our mascot, cruising the northern tip of the Bay of Eilat with her unfurled sails catching the evening breeze and reflecting the desert sunset. The Orionia lends herself perfectly to daily cruises to Coral Island and Taba. Cruises are relaxing and scenic, and include a sumptuous lunch and anchorage at several world-class dive sites great for beginners and advanced divers alike.
* Taba Cruise.
Red Sea Sports Club operates daily boat cruises to Taba. The cruise departs from the Eilat Marina at 11:00 and returns at 15:00.
On this cruise the Orionia will take you sailing along the Jordanian water border with Israel, and then southwards to the Taba border with Egypt. A B.B.Q. lunch is served on deck accompanied by a variety of Mediterranean salads, rice, fresh bread, wine and fruit juice. The ship then moors at Eilat`s southernmost beach and you will have time for swimming and snorkeling - or for a real treat, order water sports or an introductory or guided scuba dive at a minimal extra cost.
* Coral Island Cruise.
During the winter, Red Sea Sports Club operates daily boat cruises to Coral Island in Egypt. This is a luxurious 6-hour cruise, which departs from Eilat Marina and sails south. What better way to enjoy a panoramic view of four countries:
Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt - than sailing right between them on a glassy ocean?
At Coral Island we anchor in crystal clear water and provide guests with masks and snorkels with which to marvel at the pristine reef below, complete with soft and hard corals in pink, purple, green, yellow and blue, and dazzling multitudes of tropical fish.
Bathing conditions are fine and calm, so even the most inexperienced swimmers feel perfectly comfortable.
Scuba dives can be booked in advanced for first-timers to certified and experienced divers.
B.B.Q. lunch is served on deck complete with scrumptious local salads, rice, fresh bread, wine and juice.
The boat anchors for about 3 hours during which time you can explore the meticulously restored Crusader Castle on Coral Island itself.
