Atlantis Diving College opened on 3. May 2008 with new 4 new owners from Germany, Denmark and Lebanon. Atlantis Diving College is a PADI 5 star &diving center and on top of that the only diving center in Lebanon certified by National Geographic. The purpose is to attract new and established divers from both the international as the national environment.

Atlantis Diving College is a dive center offering scuba training as well as organized dives in the friendliest Atmosphere. We specialise in Underwater audio-visual arts, such as underwater choregraphy, photography, videography and cinematography. Actually, all pictures on this site are taken by us. We prefer creating rather than ``borrowing``. Who can dive ? Anyone with a diving certificate can participate in our daily-organised dives. However for those of you who are not certified divers yet, you have come to the right place. We believe that everybody has the right for this fantastic opportunity to see the underwater world, this is why, teaching scuba diving is our passion. Fun and Interesting dives include, a variety of ship-wrecks, walls, tunnels and caves, all of which create a natural habitat for marine life, like groupers in the wrecks, morays, octopus, rays, and some occasional encounters with dolphins. These include : Para sailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, rent-a-boat, ping pong, water slides etc... Diving Equipment In the choice of our diving equipment, we made no concessions. All our diving equipment is from Aqua-Lung” and “Sea-Quest”, to ensure the safest and most comfortable diving for our divers. All our regulators have an alternate air source, pressure gauge and depth meter. From mask to fins, we adopted the ``just bring your towel`` proverb ! NEWS Emergency First Response course in Atlantis Diving College On the 11th of October a full day combined course of Emergency First Response was given at Atlantis College, with the primary care and the secondary care as well as the oxygen provider course Apart from being comfortable, all our boats have on board : a medic first aid kit, an oxygen kit, and the standard save a dive kit.

The college`s philosophy Atlantis Diving College is not set for mass tourism. Everybody gets the personal Attention and instruction necessary to dive safely, relaxed and have fun at the same time. Courses are carried out in an air conditioned classroom, swimming pool and the sea, using audio-visual aids and the most up-to-date diving equipment. A little bit of History Atlantis started its activities in 1988 as a CMAS school and then added diversity to the teaching by offering other agencies certification like PADI, IANTD and NAUI. Mr. Sami Karkabi Sami started diving in 1961. His words and experience lit the way that Atlantis is still following till now. All safety measures were taught by him. The first true cave dive that Sami did in the Jeita grotto was in early 1966 ! Today, he still have a lot to say, every time we organize a cave dive. Mr. Alexandre Ananov Alexandre started teaching scuba diving for the military. Later he became one of the first CMAS instructors in Lebanon. As a member of Atlantis, he shared his experience with the major Atlantis standards. With great grief, Alexandre left us in 2005, may his soul rest in peace. Mr Jean Gibran Jean first dived with Alexandre Ananov in 1988, and have shown since then, educational skills and indeniable sense of safety. In 1994, and after 2 years of cave diving, he switched to CMAS, PADI and IANTD. Now he is one of the main instructors in Atlantis. Location: We are based in the 4 star ``BEL AZUR`` Hotel, where one of the first diving schools in Lebanon was established. Bel Azur is at 100m from the historical port of Junieh in the old souk. Its central geographical location gives Atlantis an easy access to all the dive sites in Lebanon. Present status Besides CMAS, NAUI and IANTD, Atlantis is a Padi 5 star dive center.
