Company description We offer the full range of PADI courses from beginner to instructor as well as daily diving trips on both coasts.
Al Boom Diving started operations in Dubai, UAE in the year 1996. Al Boom Diving is part of Al Boom Marine, a market leader in the Middle East within retail and distribution of watersports equipment and accessories, marine equipment, beach wear and leisure wear and accessories.
At present, Al Boom Diving is operating dive centers at the following locations:
Al Boom Diving, Al Wasl Road, Dubai
Al Aqah Divecentre, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujeirah
Al Boom Diving DIMC, Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi, Dubai
All centers are PADI 5-star centers and courses and programmes are conducted according to PADI standards
Full equipment rental service with mainly Aqualung, US Divers and Seaquest is provided.
Al Boom Diving holds a Club A Plus membership with Dan Europe and is covered by Dan Europe third party civil liability group insurance against the risks related to underwater diving activites, under the insurance policies issued by, Wintherthur, and ARAG, Legal Defense Provider Insurance Companies. Annual combined guaranteed sum of Euro 1,550,000.00.
Our retail shop stocks the latest in equipment with leading brands such as AQUALUNG,TUSA,SUUNTO.
The newly established Al Boom Diving Club was founded upon the request of some of our customers and members of staff. Especially, newly trained divers and divers who are new to Dubai have expressed their interest in joining a dive club.
Al Boom Diving Club is a “pay-as-you-go” club. There is no joining fee, no minimum sign up period and you don’t have to get involved in the logistics or organizing a dive trip – we will make all necessary arrangements. All you have to do it show up, dive and have fun.
What are the benefits:
*As a member of Al Boom Diving Club, you will receive a number of benefits. You will be entitled to discounts on any of our scheduled dive trips, on PADI Courses and on equipment purchases from our shop in Al Wasel Road.
*Negociations are also in place to offer benefits that are non diving related to our members
*Interested in joining the club ? Contact any of our instructors at our shop in Al Wasl Road, Dubai and find out how to join.
*Who can join ? All divers living in Dubai and the UAE can join as well as student divers enrolled in a training programme with Al Boom Diving. If you are an Al Boom trained diver, you PADI Certification card will have Al Boom Diving noted on it and the card will also be your membership card. If you are not Al Boom trained you will be issued with a membership card.
We offer courses:
*Just want to try scuba diving:
If you want to go for a dive but don’t have the time to do the full course, we offer the PADI Discover Scuba programme. An instructor will take you through the basics of scuba diving in the classroom and in the swimming pool. After this, you can go on an optional sea dive with your instructor.
Minimum age: 10
*Want to earn your diving certificate:
If you want to earn your PADI diving certificate you can enroll in either the PADI Open Water Diver Course, which will give you a full certificate, or the PADI Scuba Diver Course, which will allow you to dive under supervision. Courses start daily and we will work around a course schedule that suits you. Minimum age: 10
*Diving for children
*Already a diver ? Improve your diving with Al Boom Diving:
If you are already certified, there are a number of options to improve your diving skills. First step is the Advanced Open Water Course, which will introduce you to Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, Wreck Diving and more. You can pursue the Master Scuba Diver rating by completing the PADI Rescue Diver Course and five Specialities of choice. The list is long, but the most popular are Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Night and Photography.

Location description: Diving in the UAE offers great variation as have both the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean to dive in. Through our four dive centers across the UAE & Oman, Al Boom Diving offers daily dive trips on both coasts, as well as trips to the Musandam peninsula. We also offer transfers from Dubai to the East Coast/Musandam for those staying in Dubai, but wishing to explore the East Coast & Musandam.
*Musandam Peninsula (Dibba)
Musandam is very isolated and sparsely populated and the diving here is brilliant. Diving in Musandam used to be associated with a lot of hassle; all equipment had to be brought up from Dubai, permits had to be obtained etc. Now, through our new dive center in Dibba (located just 1 ½ hours drive from Dubai), diving the Musandam has become very easy. All you have to do is turn up and dive.
Musandam has sites suitable for all levels and an abundant marine life. Dolphins, Sharks, large Rays, colourful corals, large lobsters – even whale sharks have been spotted here. There is also a nice cavern dive and a few sites with nice wall dives (+ off course numerous yet undiscovered sites). Snorkelers and guests “coming along to enjoy the scenery” are most welcome.
Musandam trips run daily. Weekends will mainly be for divers – snorkelers and boat trippers may join subject to space. A daily bus transfer from Dubai to the port in Dibba is in operation. Please contact us for further information.
*Arabian Sea, UAE East Coast (Fujeirah/Khor Fakkan/Dibba)
The Arabian Sea is part of the Indian Ocean, and this is where you find the colorful coral reefs teeming with marine life. If lucky, you may come across blacktips, moray eels, turtles, lionfish, rays, cuttlefish, barracuda etc – you name it, we got it (well, almost). The diving here is suitable for all levels of divers and there are also sites suitable for snorkeling.
*Arabian Gulf, UAE West Coast (Dubai).
Diving off Dubai is all wreck diving, with sites ranging in depth from 10m to 80m. Some of the wrecks have been put there to form artificial reefs, whereas others went down due to bad weather or marine accidents.
Due to the nature of the seabed in the Arabian Gulf (which is mostly sand), the wrecks are gathering spots for marine life such as large Barracuda, large Rays, Dolphins, Turtles, Seasnakes, Batfish and, off course, Arabian Angelfish.
Most sites are limited to divers with experience beyond entry level, but we also offer Adventure dives and Advanced training for Open Water Divers wishing to do their first wreck.
Al Boom Diving Club generally run dives on the West Coast Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and guest divers are most welcome. Trips can also be arranged on other days subject to a minimum number of divers. The West Coast trips are for divers only. There are no sites suitable for snorkelling and as for people coming along for the boat trip, well, they tend to get very seasick and hate every minute of it !!! But serious divers tend to love diving here.
