Company description At Bottom Time Dive Charters & Training we believe that the customer comes first. Which is why we offer uncrowded, customized diving trips to the best fresh water dive sites of the St. Lawrence River in the beautiful Thousand Islands. Our boat ``The Regulator``
carries a maximum of 12 divers. We provide a comparably priced alternative to the many large boats in the area carrying as many as 20 divers.
The Regulator normally departs at 8 AM and 1 PM. Our first dive usually is over by about 11 am and we then proceed to enjoy a nice comfortable surface interval. However, our schedule and itinerary are flexible to meet the needs of your group. We also offer twilight and night dives.
We offer diving charters from Brockville, Ontario and Lake Champlain, New York. In addition, we are Tech Diver and Rebreather friendly, carrying sofolime and O2 bottles for quick changes on the boat.
On the St. Lawrence, ``The Regulator`` is a 30` Sea Ray with a beam of 12 feet. It features a 4 feet wide dive platform, a large covered bow area and an enclosed cabin with head. The Regulator is specially outfitted for diving,
and is equipped with GPS/Plotter, VHF radio and cellular telephone, in addition to all safety equipment required by the Canadian Coast Guard Regulations.
Bottom Time Dive Charters & Training is Mel Frechette, USCG Master Captain and Wanda Christian who are PADI Master Instructors and have combined diving experience totaling over 60 years!! We are prepared to train you in ANY PADI courses such as: Wreck, Deep, Drift, Night, Boat, Underwater Photography, Underwater Scooter, Nitrox and Search & Rescue. Get your PADI ADVANCE, PADI RESCUE, or PADI MASTER DIVER Rating while diving with us. Ask about our special package rates.

Location description: Bottom Time Dive Charters & Training is located in the beautiful city of Plattsburgh, New York in the Northern New York region . The northern New York area is exciting and dynamic with many things to offer, including some of the best diving in the World! But also, wonderful scenery, history, beautiful architecture and much, much more.
Our dive boat (The Regulator) is moored at Excel Marine in downtown Brockville, at the end of St. Andrew Street. (X on the map) Our office is the Regulator! (Our dive boat).

The Rockport / Thousands Islands Region is considered the best place for fresh water diving worldwide! Visibility is 20 to 50 feet. Great wrecks! No thermocline, due to action of the river. Over the past 30 years Captain Mel has led groups to intriguing dive sites; wrecks, reefs, specific fish communities, and steep walls. Schooners, steamships, and horse-powered ferry boats are among the wrecks awaiting exploration. Many of these vessels which sank over 100 years ago remain incredibly intact!
