Company description I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to our dive club. It is our hope to fulfil your dive needs. It is our mandate to put together a Dive buddy list (Our Telefin list) and a Dive Trips Schedule, to keep club members active and current in their dive skills; to put together all kinds of dive outings, such as, day trips in the area as well as weekend dive trips, even week-long excursions abroad and to keep our club members informed of what is happening in the Scuba industry - through our newsletter, dive seminars or trade shows. These happenings might include area projects like the sinking of a new wreck or trade information such as the introduction of new technologies (or their recall). This is to keep us all current, involved and up to date in our skills and knowledge.

We have monthly meetings right now and we try to present them in a social atmosphere to keep things fun. We report on past dive outings and hear about upcoming opportunities as well. It is our hope as a Dive club to be a great source of dive information for dive destinations in Ontario and elsewhere; dive charter contacts in these ports of call; even other club contacts.

We would also like to hear from you! When you have been out diving and have a good dive story and or picture of your event, please share it with us for inclusion in the club newsletter. We also have a great selection of club sportswear. For some of that smart SWODA-wear you have seen around, contact Steve Brandow. He is our promotions person; he is your man.

SWODA offers a dive schedule each year that is designed for a wide range of skill levels and in different environments. Trips are planned to such places as the Great Lakes, Tobermory`s Fathom Five Park, Kingston and area, Quebec, the USA and exotic locations down south such as Cozumel, Cuba, Belize, Saba and Roatan. Our dive schedule is jam-packed all year round and offers up a selection of dives from novice to very specialized dives requiring technical training and is designed for you to pick the diving best suited for you and your wallet.
To kick off the dive season, we hold our traditional New Years` Dive in the St. Claire River. In addition, we dive every weekend throughout the summer and well into the fall. Throughout the summer, you can meet us and dive at ``the river`` midweek - a great way to break the week up. When you dive with SWODA, certified divemasters give an orientation to the dive site and, when possible, pairs more experienced divers with novice divers.
The Divemasters meet in February and hammered out an exciting dive schedule for 2006. But we are not done yet - more dives are being planned, so hold on to your seats for an update to schedule.
Club SWODA gets together throughout the year for non-diving events. Its not all about diving (ok - maybe it is, but we also enjoy getting together to talk about diving ... lol).

As a member, you get the infamous monthly Club newsletter - the newsletter is bursting with information about upcoming dives and who embarrassed themselves at a previous divetrip. Even if you cant make a divetrip, you`ll feel like you were there with the stories. Just remember ... ``what happens down south does NOT remain there`` ... eventually, people will learn the truth. So if you are interested in joining, then come out to our next meeting and let the adventure begin.
