Some words about Capt. Dan Berg.

Dan grew up on the South Shore of Long Island. He spent his youth swimming, snorkeling, fishing and waterskiing in Bays off the islands South Shore. Whether fishing for fluke, canoeing to one of the bay islands to go camping or water skiing most of the Capt's days were spent in and around the water. His love of the ocean lead to the foundation of Aqua Explorers Inc. He is a P.A.D.I (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He is a Specialty Instructor in Wreck Diving, Night Diving, Search and Recovery, Underwater Hunting, Deep Diving, Dry Suit Diving, U/W Metal Detecting, U/W Archeology, and has written his own nationally approved Specialties in Shipwreck Research and U/W Cinematography. Capt. Berg owns and operates the 40' custom built Young Brothers charter boat Wreck Valley and is a member of the Eastern Dive Boat Association. Mr. Berg has authored over ten shipwreck and diving related books and was the host and producer of the award winning Dive Wreck Valley TV series. Capt. Dan received the prestigious BTS Diver of the Year Award in 1994. He also was a first year recipient of the SSI Platinum Pro 5000 Award. Mr. Berg holds 4 current US Patents for Diving Equipment design.� Dan's photographs ,video and shipwreck articles have appeared on Fox 5 News, CNN, CBS, Skin Diver Magazine, plus many more. Above all else Capt. Berg considerers himself a North East Wreck Diver whether researching, searching for new sites, exploring deep water or hunting the shallows with a metal detector Wreck Diving has provided Capt.
