Technical Diving
Company description
Diver Education Associates was formed by serving and former service Members from the Military, Police, Forensic and Government Service who were qualified Divers and Educators. They provide a series of ready made programmes in the Technical Areas of Diving, however, they will also design and implement diver specific education programmes for your requirements. This development service includes obtaining recognition from a Diving Certification Agency should this be required.
All Members of the Training Team have been security cleared to a minimum of POVS.
The programmes offered by the Partners in the DMT Training Group are accredited or recognized by the appropriate Regulatory Agency. For example, ADC International in the USA recognizes diver education in accordance with OHSA Regulation in the United Kingdom, it is the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) who administer the ``Diving at Work Regulations`` which cover all aspects of diving, and in Australia it is the Department of Labour who control diving related training.
This area of specialized education at the Paramedic Level, which was the first programme in this area based upon Competency, was introduced in 1989 and accredited by the National Board of Hyperbaric and Diving Medical Technology in 1991. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in the United Kingdom reviewed the programme and approved it in 1992.
The Diver Medic Technician Paramedic (DMT-Paramedic) programme was then dived into lower levels of training and in 1994, when the US Federal Department of Transport published their Competency Guidelines for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), the DMT series of programmes was adjusted to ensure inclusion of all EMT Competencies at the levels published. Therefore since 1995, the DMT series was available in the following levels of Competency:
*DMT Introductory.
*DMT Basic
*DMT Intermediate.
*DMT Paramedic.
*DMT Instructor (at each of the above levels).
*DMT Instructor Trainer.
*Medical Response Diver.
*Emergency Diving Accident Management.
*Hyperbaric Oxygen in Diving Accident Management.
*Hyperbaric Chamber Operator
