| The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) is a "501(c)(3) nonprofit" organization formed to promote interest in underwater photography. The Club has been active since 1957. NCUPS sponsors educational events on both underwater photography and video while promoting awareness of the underwater environment and pertinent ecological issues. NCUPS serves the greater San Francisco Bay area, including Silicon Valley.

| Location description:
| The membership meetings begin at 8:00 p.m. on the second Friday of each month (with the exception of holidays and special events weekends). Meetings are currently held at New Vision United Methodist Church, Milbrae.
We have guest experts who speak on a variety of subjects concerning diving and photography often accompanies by a digital, slide or multiimage presentation. Other activities in which the Society engages include local and Southern California dives, tropical vacation trips, sessions on photography, and a number of additional activities planned by the members.
We also host two photo contests during the year: the SEA series of traditional mail-in-your-entry contests, and the Beach Dive Photo Competition, during which you shoot and select your images on Saturday and attend the judging results Sunday afternoon.
