Company description Anacapa Dive Center is the largest Scuba facility from Ventura to Monterey.
Anacapa Dive Center is a full service PADI 5 Star Scuba Training, Sales & Service Center. They do repairs and warranty service right here in theirr store, everything from tank visual inspections to full regulator rebuilds. Their repair technicians are some of the most experienced in the industry. ADC is an authorized repair center for all major brands.
Anacapa Dive Center offers the following technical courses: Advanced Nitrox, Deco Procedures, Extended range, Entry Level Trimix, Advanced Trimix, Nitrox Blending, Advanced Gas Blending, Draeger Rebreather, Trimix Course Package (Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures, Entry Level Trimix). All Technical Courses include Certification Card. Advanced certification classes run continuously throughout the year.
ADC offers swimming lessons for all ages: From infants to adults in center`s indoor heated (91 degrees) pool. For infants through 3 years of age they have the Water Experience class where parents take their child into the pool with the instructor. For older children through adult, lessons are one on one with the instructor. All instructors are WSI certified through Red Cross or similar programs. Anacapa Dive Center Swim Instructors are all highly experienced instructors with at least 3 years experience or a WSI Instructor certificate.

Anacapa Dive Center offers many different scuba classes throughout the year. We teach classes from basic Open Water through Assistant Instructor, including specialties, technical & refresher courses.
Location description: Anacapa Dive Center is located in downtown Santa Barbara just one block from the beach. It is easily reached by the 101 Freeway. They have an on-site heated pool, classroom and a gear rinsing station out front complete with bathtub. Hot showers are located in the rest rooms in the pool area.
They run most of their charters on the Peace Boat from Ventura, and the boats from Truth Aquatics in Santa Barbara. Most trips are 4-dive days. All Ventura trips have a 7am departure time unless otherwise noted. All Santa Barbara trips have a departure time of 6am unless otherwise noted. The boats have a full galley, heads, hot showers, and bunks for 35-40 people. Only paid reservations can be taken. If these dates do not fit your schedule ADC would be happy to book your spot on another date on one of the many fine dive boats in the area.
Anacapa Dive Center`s Staff
Lacy Taylor — Lacy is the owner of Anacapa Dive Center for the last 10 years. She is a graduate of the Marine Diving Technology program at Santa Barbara City College. She is a NAUI instructor and has been actively diving since her 16th Birthday. She has two young boys who also love the water. Her 6 year old is an avid snorkeler.
Steven Adams — Steven is the manager of ADC, he has been with Anacapa Dive Center for 8 years. Steven has been working in the recreational diving industry for over 20 years. He is a PADI Master Instructor who is honored by PADI every year for teaching over 100 students annually. Steven’s life passion is SCUBA diving and his 4 children.
Jody Pesapane — Jody is the ADC underwater photography specialist. She is also a PADI Instructor with underwater photography and videography specialties. She is a graduate from the Brooks Institute of Photography and has been working in the film industry for the past 10 years. Jody has traveled the world shooting video. You may have seen some of her footage on the Discover Channel’s Shark Week. Jody has one child, Bella, a Tijuana mutt, who loves to come to work with her.
Michael Taylor — Michael is a SCUBA Instructor and Vice President of ADC. He learned to SCUBA dive when Lacy and Michael first started dating. They have been married for over 7 years now. Michael’s day job is an engineer for a local medical device company. Michael has a love of all outdoor sports and enjoys spending time with his two sons.
James Rowe — Jimmy has been a local resident of Anacapa Dive Center since the beginning. Jimmy has been diving for 20 years and became a PADI instructor 5 years ago. He loves to teach diving when he is not cleaning pools, his day job, which he hates.
Barbara Popp — Barbara has been assisting Steven’s SCUBA courses for the past 10 years. Several years ago Steven talked her into becoming a PADI Scuba instructor. Barbara continues to assist as well as teach courses now. Her day job is a hair stylist at Studio S.
