Our philosophy and mission is to provide both new and experienced divers with a professional and informative environment where they can learn to enjoy the wonders of Scuba at their own relaxed pace. We love the sport and hope you will too!

Aqua Hut offers over twenty five years of professional SSI expertise in Scuba instruction. We offer knowledgeable sales, competitive prices, award winning service, organized local diving activities, group-led diving trips, as well as a full time travel agency. We also offer the highly acclaimed Scuba Rangers Club which specializes in diving instruction and fun activities for children up to 12 years old. Aqua Hut students are diverse, ranging in age from 10 to 70, men and women, professional, blue collar, families, fire departments, college programs, Scouting groups, to name but a few. Indeed, over the past 25 years we have certified more divers than any other store in the Northwest Ohio.
We are proud to be recognized as one of the top repair facilities in the country. We are continually adding new state of the art testing equipment, specialty tools and use ONLY oxygen compatible cleaning solutions and lubricants in our test facility. Our technicians are highly trained and certified to repair the latest technology as well as most older brands and models.
We hope our quality and service meets all of your expectations. To help insure total satisfaction we are inviting you to use a FREE pool practice after your gear is finished being serviced. To set up your session, just call ahead and remember to bring in your certification card

Looking for an effective way to exercise this winter? Want to stay fit but need to rehab an injury? Can`t face another moment on a boring treadmill? Aqua Hut has the answer!
Try Deep Water Running! It`s revolutionary, it`s effective, it`s fun, and it works!
Deep-water running consists of simulated running in the deep end of a pool while aided by a floatation belt that maintains the head above water. Additional resistance equipment, such as webbed gloves, aqua “dumb bells”, wrist, ankle and/or foot cuffs, and tether cords can be used. The form of running is patterned as closely as possible after the form on land. Submerged in the water, the body has resistance on all sides. This forces opposing muscles to work equally. As you move your arms and legs against the resistance of the water, you get a great cardiovascular, strength, and toning workout. Changing the speed and cadence of the movements can customize the intensity of the workout.

Over a decade of research has shown that the training effect of water running can be equal or greater than the same level of effort on land. But the biggest benefit is that a great workout can be accomplished without the painful wear and tear on joints. The unique environment of water running helps reduce the risk of injury, and increases fitness levels in ways that cannot be accomplished with land exercise alone.
An added benefit is that as you perform a water running workout, water massages your muscles with every movement of the arms and legs. This increases circulation, promotes relaxation, and helps remove stress and tension. Being submerged up to one’s shoulders or neck also produces physiological changes that help reduce metabolic waste, improve cardiac function, lower blood pressure, and assist the body in tissue healing.

Location description: There are three ways to discover scuba with Aqua Hut.
1. Private weekday class.
2. Basic weekday class.
3. Weekend class.
Weekday Scuba Diving Lessons $149
This Special rate includes: Private Classroom and Pool instruction in Aqua Hut`s 88 degree indoor pool. Open water training is done as a group or can be completed on your personalized schedule with the purchase of a BCD and Regulator system from Aqua Hut. Free use of our indoor heated pool for practice, use of wet suit, BCD, and regulators during class and practice sessions, and open water training. Student must provide mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit boots after the first class. Certification is validated upon satisfactory completion of course.The Open Water Kit - $75.00 + tax. It contains the Open Water manual, DVD, dive table, log book and all applicable paperwork.
Basic weekday scuba classes are now forming!
Basic scuba class $99
Brand new to Aqua Hut`s scuba training programs. Have a group of two or more. Aqua Hut will teach your basic scuba class ( pool and lecture only ) in one week. Class starts Monday-Thursday night 7:00 to 9:30. Cost is $99 per person. Student must provide open water kit. Mask, fins, snorkel, wetsuit boots must be purchased after the first class. Open water dives can be completed on your vacation. We can book all your travel needs and your open water dives using our travel department. Weekend class $299 or $200
Weekend classes begin on Saturday and finish on Sunday. Weekend classes are perfect for those with limited time constraints and busy schedules! Each day consists of two classes with lectures and pool time. The last session on Sunday includes the written test. Open water certification dives are conducted the following weekend during summer months or open water dives can be completed on your vacation ($200 rate). Weekend classes start at 9:00am and end by 4:00pm. They enable busy people to learn how to dive safely.
Scuba course fee includes:
-All classroom and pool instruction and open water checkout dives.
-The use of BCD, Regulator system, tank and Exposure Suit for the duration of the course.
