``Blue Water Divers`` is a Dive Club. We have members from all over the US, with a Hardy group of local divers who especially ``Love`` the west coast diving offered here in California, Washington, & British Columbia.
We also take trips to the ``Tropics`` for some fun & games. Some trips are ``Live-aboards``, and others are land-based. Either way, the groups are always enjoyable to be with!
Our focus in not on running a club, or having meetings, but on gathering for some special event. It could be diving, a tour, local seminar, or whatever sounds interesting. | Some words about Specialty Courses...
*Master Scuba Diver
This certification denotes that you`ve reached the highest recreational diver level in the PADI System of diver education. PADI Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a significant amount of training and experience in a variety of dive environments.
*Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty certification emphasizes the theoretical and operational considerations involved with enriched air diving.
*Drysuit Diver
During your PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course, you`ll not only cover the background knowledge related to dry suit diving, you`ll get into confined water to put that theory into practice. Then, once you`ve mastered confined water, it`s time for two open water dives and applying that knowledge, including dive planning, organization, techniques, problems and buoyancy control.
*Dive Computer Specialty
This course is designed to instruct users on how to utilize the important information held in the computer, how to access the different modes and what the display really means. You`ll also discuss the dive theory & model that was used to calculate your diving.
*Search & Recovery
You`ll learn search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You`ll also cover limited visibility, search patterns and safe object recovery using lift devices.
*Night Diver
You`ll learn night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You`ll also learn how to control your buoyancy, navigate and communicate at night. Since many of the plants and animals you`ll see are different, you`ll also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.
*Altitude Diver
The Altitude Diver Specialty course familiarizes you with the rules and procedures necessary to use the Recreational Dive Planner at altitude.
*Underwater Naturalist
During your PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course, you`ll learn underwater naturalist dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You`ll also get an overview of the major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths. You`ll put this information into practice during your two open water dives.
*Peak Performance Buoyancy
If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.
*Underwater Navigator
During your PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course, you`ll learn underwater navigation dive procedures, techniques, planning, organization and potential problems.
