Our Mission Statement:
``We will provide the best customer service, best selection of products and services, and offer it at the best price possible. We will also maintain and promote the highest standards in our PADI diver education and diver safety. Central Coast Dive Center is more than a Dive Store; it`s a philosophy of excellence. We are committed to making the customer happy, and the customer is never ``stuck`` with a product``.
Discover Scuba
We have the most advanced scuba facility in the Tri-state, you are invited to come and explore our store, and take a step beyond the beach... learn to dive. All classroom and pool work is done on site, come take the plunge in our indoor heated pool. So, what`s it like to breathe underwater? Find out for yourself. Try Discover Scuba for $15.00 at Central Coast Dive Center! It only takes an hour. Discover Scuba is your introduction to diving in the safety of a controlled environment. We`ll show you the basic techniques for using scuba equipment. We`ll also give you a review of what to expect in your beginning scuba class.
Classes at Central Coast Dive Center run for two consecutive weeks three nights a week. Each class session is approximately three hours long, with two of those hours usually spent in the pool. The classroom portion consists of video, lecture and a quiz each night. The confined water portion is practical skills in the pool with low student to teacher ratio.
You will need to purchase your own mask, fins, boots, snorkel and a textbook. All other equipment you would need, such as tanks and regulators, are supplied for the duration of the class.
As an Open Water certified diver, you are trained to dive to a depth of 60ft. Advanced Open Water certified divers can descend to 100 feet. The absolute recreational limit is 130 feet.
