•Our `Learn To Dive` program is one of the most extensive that is taught anywhere in the country.
•Any training program, no matter how extensive it is, is dependent upon the instructor teaching it. Don`t be confused by a long list of numbers and letters after an instructor`s name. When you are choosing a SCUBA class ask about the instructor`s experience.
•So, before you get in too deep, be sure the instructor and the program you select will give you a safe and comfortable foundation to really enjoy the underwater world.
What`s involved with taking the class?
•The tuition for the CDC Open Water + Learn To Dive Course is $199.00. We ask you to reserve your space in the class by paying your tuition in advance.
•In order to go through the class each student needs to purchase a textbook and materials packet. Cost - $59.95.
•Each student must supply a Mask, SCUBA Fins, Snorkel, Boots and Gloves for the class. Cost $200-$250.
Continue your dive experiences with advanced level dive certifications. CDC offers:
Manatee Experience , Advanced Open Water , Rescue Diver , Divemaster, 1st Aid / CPR , Dry Suit Diving , Equipment Repair, Nitrox Diver, Underwater Photography , DAN Oxygen Provider, Marine Life Identification, Wreck Diving.
The Advanced Open Water course is designed as a ``stepping stone`` from the basic open water certification to the various specialty courses and the Master Diver rating. The subjects covered in this course include: Underwater Navigation, Dive Table Variations, Physics, Physiology, Advanced Dive Planning, Marine Life Identification, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Search and Recovery, Wreck Diving, Diving First Aid, Equipment Maintenance, Underwater Photography and a discussion of using Computers with multilevel dive profiles.
The course consists of 4 - 2 hr. classroom sessions, 1 - 2 hr. pool review and a full weekend of open water work. $175.00 Includes books and materials.
The First Aid / CPR Training course meets and exceeds all standards required of the recognized certifying agencies. It is an intensive 6 hour course which covers Standard First Aid, Adult CPR and DAN Hazardous Marine Life First Aid, a bonus not offered by other stores. If you are involved with water related activities, like diving, this course is a must. Cost $85 includes text, materials, and certification.
Nitrox Diver Course:
One of the biggest revolutions in recreational diving has been the growing popularity of using gas other than air, with an elevated level of Oxygen. By utilizing Nitrox, you can extend allowable bottom times, increase your safety, and feel far less fatigued. Any certified diver, regardless of certification level, can take this course. The class is five hours of academics. No dives are required.
Cost $125.00, which includes text and certification card.
The Wreck Diving class will offer tips and techniques for proper wreck diving.
THE LEADER IN TECHNICAL DIVE TRAINING AND TRAVEL! Our staff includes 4 instructors that have experience diving on Andrea gases, another member is part of the Woodville Karst Plains Project (That is the pinnacle of cave diving). We have hundreds of hours experience diving on rebreathers and mixed-gas. Our staff includes several Nitrox and Tri-Mix instructors and 2 Instructor Trainers, with Technical Diving International and IANTD.
TRAINING COURSES AVAILABLE: Introduction to Technical Diving (Cave Diving, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Mixed Gases & Rebreathers), Nitrox Diving, Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, Tri-Mix Diving, Wreck Diver Certification.

Bimini / Juliet:
Join CDC on our annual Memorial Day Weekend excursion to dive the remote islands of the Bahamas aboard a great 110` sailing vessel, the Juliet. We will be departing from Miami and make a quick crossing to a group of islands known as the Bimini chain. You will spend the weekend laughing, diving, and eating (not necessarily in that order!). This may well be some of the best diving the Bahamas has to offer. Sign up early, as this trip is one of our most popular dive destinations and will fill up fast. The trip costs $1,295 and includes airfare, boat charter, diving, and all meals while aboard.
Megalodon Shark Teeth, Cooper River, SC:
The Cooper River offers diving for those of you who wish to take home some of our history. The South Carolina Low Country rivers are home to some of the richest marine fossil beds in the world. This area is world renowned for the enormous fossilized shark teeth found by divers, some of which are as large as your hand, and date back millions of years! This trip is $345 and includes three nights accommodations, two days of diving, and air fills.
Come dive the South Pacific! Steve B, warm South Pacific waters, a beautiful live aboard boat, sumptuous views above and below the water. What more could you want? Travel with CDC`s most seasoned professional photographer and trip leader. This trip will include lots of stuff, to be determined!
North Carolina Wreck Diving:
Wreck diving at its best! The cost of this trip is $615 and includes three days of diving, four nights of lodging, and air fills.
