Company description CUDA Dive Shop is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center hosted by veteran instructors. This is complemented by our friendly and knowledgeable staff of instructors, dive masters and technicians.
We offer courses for ranging from beginner courses, for those that are new to diving all the way to professional level courses. CUDA is your complete diving education center, and none of our courses have any hidden costs.
Classes are taught in one of our comfortable classrooms, in our onsite pool, and at various open water locations.
Our entry level courses consist of pool diving, knowledge development and open water dives. The course is performance based, meaning that you progress as you learn and demonstrate knowledge and skill. In short, the course is designed to get you in the water and diving in the least amount of time, without compromising on safety.
As stated earlier, the course is performance based, which means that you earn your certification when you demonstrate that you`ve mastered the required skills and knowledge. However, in most cases students can accomplish all the course objectives in either 2 weekends or 4 evening classes and 1 weekend.
You must be at least 10 years old to receive a Junior Open Water certification. Ages 10 and 11 must dive with a certified parent, guardian or PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 40 feet. 12 to 14 year olds must dive with a certified adult. At age 15, the Junior certification upgrades to a regular Open Water Diver certification.
You need to be reasonably proficient swimmer and comfortable in the water. you must swim 200 yards nonstop, without a time or specific stroke requirement. You will also float or tread water for 10 minutes.
Like any hobby or recreation, you can invest however much you want, depending upn your interest level. Because CUDA Dive Shop along with most other dive shops and resorts, rent equipment, you can invest in equipment over time, renting what you don`t have. There is good diving within 2 hours drive from CUDA in many directions, so travel costs need not be high. Most people find the costs of scuba diving similar to the cost associated with snow skiing or mountain biking.
You will want to own your own mask, snorkel and fins. These are commonly called ``personal gear.`` CUDA Dive Shop sells all these items at discounted rates to all students that are enrolled in a course.

Location description: CUDA Dive Shop is conveniently located and easily accessible from most of the area. It features its own on-site, recently renovated, indoor heated pool for instruction.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is our most requested course and the most popular dive course in the world! This is you ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with our dive shop/your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program.
Almost anyone in good health and reasonably fit can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.
A PADI Jr. Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 12 years may only dive with a PADI professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
You will learn fundamentals of diving, including equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.
Continue your adventure in diving with PADI`s Adventures in diving program, your next step in exploring the underwater world.
The Adventures in Diving program offers both Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your Adventure Diver certification. If you complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation dives and 3 other adventure dives, for a total of 5, you earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
After your five dives, you will be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment. Also as an Advanced Open Water Diver your maximum recommended depth will increase from 60ft to 100ft.
The Certification includes five Adventure Dives, including the Deep Adventure Dive, the Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive and three of the following:
