Company description DIVE KEY WEST, INC. is the largest and most experienced dive center in the Lower Keys. The management team of Bob Holston and Cece Roycraft have for the past 34 years set the standards of quality in dive services for the Florida Key`s SCUBA industry. INSTRUCTION: Dive Key West is the best known as the Key`s most advanced and complete SCUBA School. Our staff of experienced, professional SCUBA Instructors are sanctioned to teach all levels of SCUBA training. We are an international training facility and teach NAUI, SSI, PADI programs and all universal referrals. Your choice of a SCUBA school is an important decision. RESORT COURSE: This is an opportunity to experience SCUBA diving without completing a certification course. It’s as easy as 1,2,3 and you will be diving the coral reefs under the supervision of your instructor in as little as one day.
We offer following courses:
SCUBA CERTIFICATION: This course is designed to make you comfortable and confident in your skills as a certified diver. An internationally recognized certification is issued upon completion of this 4 to 5 day program.
OPEN WATER CHECKOUT/ REFERRAL: This service is available for customers who have completed their classroom and pool training at home and wish to do their certification dives in a warm tropical location..
ADVANCED OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION:This course is designed to increase the skill level of the already certified diver and can generally be completed in 2 to 3 days.
REFRESHER PROGRAM: This program allows a certified diver who has been inactive to update their skills and knowledge without having to retake a complete certification course.
DIVE MASTER, RESCUE AND SPECIALTY COURSES: These advanced courses are custom tailored to your needs and time schedule.
DIVE CHARTERS: Our many years of experience have earned us the reputation of being Key West`s most professional and safest dive charter operation. Our daily dive trips are aboard the Easy Diver, Key West`s fastest and most comfortable dive boat. We offer coral reef, wreck and night dives. You can be assured of the best dive of the day whether you are snorkeling or diving the reefs and wrecks of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
The EASY DIVER is a 45 ft. custom built dive boat offering daily reef, wreck and night dives. This boat features a walk-through transom for easy entries and exits, fresh water showers, equipment storage and tank racks, plus fresh fruit and candy! The best dive conditions, regardless of location, are easily accessible due to the boat’s speed. The Easy Diver is U.S. Coast Guard inspected to carry 26 passengers, but for your comfort and convenience we limit our dive trips to 16 SCUBA divers.

Location description: The Florida Keys are the most popular dive destination in the world! The coral reefs of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, teeming with thousand’s of colorful tropical fish, plants and marine life are home to the world’s third largest barrier reef.
INNER REEFS - The inner coral reefs are a thrill to snorkelers and scuba divers alike! These extensive reefs are abundant in coral and marine life. The depths vary from 3 ft. to 30 ft., allowing maximum dive time and lots of available light for photography. Be sure to bring a camera, the sights of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary are a photographer’s dream.
COTTRELL KEY - This shallow gulf side location offers some of the most diverse marine life, including unique patch coral, soft corals, tropical fish and invertebrates. You are almost guaranteed to see large stingrays, some up to 6 ft. in length. When the wind blows from the ocean-side, Cottrell offers a protected dive site. Depths range from 3 ft. to 15 ft. at this location.
OUTER REEFS - The 35 to 40 foot depths of the outer reefs offer an alternative to the spur & groove formations of the inner coral reefs. The large gorgonians, seafans, soft corals and sponges are common to these reefs as well as an increased opportunity of a larger pelagic fish sighting.
WRECK DIVES:
JOE`S TUG - The tug lies SSE of Key West in a depth of 60 to 65 foot. This vessel`s remains are surrounded by soft and hard coral formations and large sponges. This wreck is home to some very friendly moray eels and inquisitive fish. Joe’s Tug is an easy and rewarding dive for both beginners and experienced divers.
CAYMAN SALVAGE-MASTER -This wreck is 180 ft. steel hulled buoy tender was sunk in 1985. The CAYMAN, at a depth of 90 to 95 ft., is your best opportunity to interact with large jewfish and moray eels. This staff supervised dive is generally limited to the main deck in approx. 70 to 80 ft., where all of the marine life action takes place.
NIGHT DIVES - We offer a one tank night dive on the coral reefs surrounding Key West. Let us introduce you to the joys of night diving, witness the coral polyps feeding, parrot fish sleeping and crabs and lobster moving freely on the ocean floor. Our staff will be available in the water to guide and assist you.
