Company description We are starting our 17th year in business as Divepoint Scuba Center, and our 21st year as a PADI Dive Center. We have recently expanded into some exciting new areas, which we feel will complement diving.
Join us and explore the depths. Whether you are new to diving or a veteran diver, we have the products, service and support to keep you diving and safe. With over 20 years of Scuba sales, service, training and support experience you can rest assured that we won`t let you make the same mistakes that we made when you take your first dive. From dive gear, to training and vacation getaways, we have you covered. We are a certified PADI dive center with fully certified and trained divers.
You won`t find a wider selection of quality scuba diving equipment in Central Wisconsin than right here. Not sure exactly what you need for that upcoming class or vacation dive trip. Don`t worry, our knowledgeable sales associates will help you the moment you enter our store. If for some reason we don`t have what you need, we`ll order it! It`s as simple as that. Our goal is to make sure that you, our customer, leaves our shop satisfied knowing that you`ve purchased quality equipment at the best price.
We offer a series of classes to help you get started exploring scuba and the depths. Our classes range from discovering and introduction to mastering the skills required for to become a Dive Master...or take things to the ultimate level and become a certified PADI Instructor.
Open Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure with PADI, a dive company that sets the standards in the global diving community.
In our PADI Open Water Diver Course you will experience the excitement and adventure of our underwater world. This Open Water Course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you will need to safely visit the underwater environment. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.On completion of the open water certification dives you will receive your PADI certification card, which never expires.
The PADI Open Water Course is divided into 5 seperate modules. Each module consists of one chapter in the Open Water Diver Manual, a classroom video presentation with discussion, and a pool session.
The final step to your certification is to complete your Open Water Certification Dives. To become a certified Open Water Diver you must complete four dives in “real water”. These dives are completed in local lakes or quarries and are run from early May thru October. Open Water Dives are conducted in water ranging from 15 to 40 feet. During these dives you will perform the skills you have learned in the pool sessions, and then spend the rest of the dive just having fun. If you are planning a winter vacation and wish to get certified there, you will need a referral form from us.
To meet your needs and busy schedule, we run classes in three different formats:
Standard Format - Class is run one evening each week for 5 weeks.
Three Week Format - Class is run two evenings each week for 3 weeks.
Weekend Class - All 5 classes are completed within a 3 day period. This format may be too accelerated for some people.
We will provide you with all the Scuba Equipment that you need for this class (Wetsuit, Regulators, BCD, Tanks & Dive Computer/Gauges). You will need to provide your own mask, snorkel, boots and fins so that they become a natural extension of yourself under the water. During the Open Water dives, you will also need gloves and a hood.

It`s time to get away...YOU DESERVE IT!
Use the time away to explore beautiful reefs filled with color, explore sunken ships and search for treasure. Our Vacation Dive Get-Aways have something for everyone. Even if you can`t currently afford one of our tropical dives, you can get great diving, meet new friends and have fun joining us on one of our weekend dive trips to Lake Superior.
Blackbeard`s Cruises:
Are you ready for escape? Are you ready for adventure? Sail and dive the Bahamas with Blackbeard`s cruises.
More than an escape, a Blackbeard`s Sail/Dive Cruise is a greate adventure above and below the sea. Experience incredible coral gardens decorated with schools of fish, colorful walls plunging from shallow to infinite depths and the great shark dive, the epitome of dive adventure. Later, explore a deserted beach or prepare for a night dive. After a fine meal, you can enjoy a cocktail (beer, wine, and rum drinks are included) under a starry, moonlit sky.
Lake Superior:
Serveral times throughout the summer, we organize a weekend dive trip up north for some of the greatest wreck diving around. Please check out calendar for a trip that matches your schedule or contact us for more information.
We now carry kayaks and rock climbing equipment.
Kayaks are a great way to get out and enjoy nature`s beauty with friends and family. We have many styles to choose from including single and tandem models. We also have kayaks available for rent including sit on top models designed for diving.
Climbing has increased in popularity and there are more places to go than most people think. The University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point offers an indoor climbing wall that is open to the public.
