Company description 5 Star Divers would like to introduce you to the wonders of scuba diving by visiting our five star dive center. Our professional staff is ready and happy to assist you with training from open water basics to professional diver. We also specialize in dive travel with trips around the world. Our Staff
Wayne Cooper
founder and owner of 5-Star Divers is a PADI Master Instructor & IDC Staff Instructor. He is also a NIAD instructor certified to train the physically challenged. Wayne is a Master technician with a multitude of certifications in equipment repair and maintenance, and is also a Medic First Aid Instructor, DAN Oxygen therapy instructor, Emergency First Responder, and teaches 16 different underwater specialties. His current passion is cave diving, wreck diving, and deep trimix holding certifications with NSS-CDS, TDI, DSAT, and IANTD.
John Bernhard
John is an Open Water Instructor. He is also a Builder / Contractor in the El Paso area.
Fred Hernandez
has been an Open Water Instructor since 1996. He also teaches the Medic First Aid Course. Fred is teaching in English as well as in Spanish. Fred is retired from the El Paso Fire Department and was a senior member of the water rescue team.
Jack Waite
is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor and has been instructing since 1993. Jack is a Lieutenant with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department and is available for private as well as group instruction.
Pat Gordon
Pat is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer since 1996. Pat is a Medic First Aid Instructor and teaches various PADI underwater specialty courses. Pat works full time as an attorney in El Paso.
Pennie Cooper
is an Assistant Instructor and Wayne`s Wife. She is our travel specialist. She has been in the Dive Business for over 15 years now.

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver Certification or equivalent
Requirements:

Selection of three elective specialty diving areas out of eleven options, which are :

• Boat Diving

• Multilevel Diving

• Peak Performance Buoyancy

PADI Rescue Diver: $355 June 26th & 27th
Prerequisites
PADI Adventures in Diving or equivalent
Minimum of twenty logged dives

• Classroom, pool session, & Open Water Weekend included
• First Responder & ADE May 10th & 12th
• DAN Oxygen May 17th & 19th


PADI Master Scuba Diver:

Professional Level Programs
PADI Divemaster : $250
• Your first step to becoming a PADI Professional. Expand your knowledge and skills. Learn to train and supervise divers.

PADI Assistant Instructor Program : $350
• The Assistant Instructor is qualified to teach portions of diver training with an Instructor. This is an excellent opportunity for one to prepare for an IDC (Instructor Development Course). AI`s can certify divers in Medic First Aid, Equipment Specialty, Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty, DAN Oxygen Provider, and may independently conduct PADI Discover Scuba.
