Lauderdale has the best wreck diving and world class reefs. Lobster hunting and spearfishing is acceptable in many areas. The Gulf Stream sweeps close to shore and gives the area warm water all year with great visibility and the best drift diving in the US.
South Florida divers, locals and visitors, love the scuba diving and snorkeling here. Experience the best. Experience Force-E.
Learn to dive with Force-E! It`s easy in Florida! The warm water, colorful reefs and historic wrecks, provide year round scuba diving opportunities. Our instructors can train you in any underwater activity, snorkeling to complete deep diving technical courses.
You may call it Scuba Lessons, Dive Training, Scuba Certification Courses or Scuba Classes. No matter what you call it; Force-E has been teaching people how to dive in Southeast Florida since 1976. Our scuba instructors in greater Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach have certified enough divers to fill a sports stadium. We have the most experienced instructors in South Florida. They know how to teach and show you how to have a great time. Our instructors make the learning process fun. Learning to dive is serious fun. We offer programs from several major certification agencies.
If you want to become a new certified diver, we have several training schedules. We offer regular scheduled evening and weekend classes or you can pack it into weekends, stretch the class over three weeks or receive immediate personal instruction on any schedule.
Not sure if you want to take the training, but you`re still interested? We offer short non-certification classes. Take the first step and see if it`s for you, before committing to the full training course.
Already a certified diver, but want more? We offer a large selection of SSI, PADI, and TDI advanced dive training. Wreck diving, Drift Diving, Nitrox, Deep Technical, Overhead Environments, and many other specialties to expand your skills.
You can use the lodging section of our web site to calculate the cost of a certification vacation. Keep in mind that private Open Water Certification instruction can be completed within three or four half day sessions. You can cut the structured academic commitment by using our materials to study on your own or even complete all the academic requirements online. The rates listed in our Lodging section are special Force-E rates. We do not receive any commission so that we can pass along the savings to our students.
SSI, PADI, SDI, TDI, NAUI and YMCA are all internationally recognized scuba certification agencies. Only slight differences in instructional philosophy separates one agency from another. Force-E offers instruction and/or referrals from all of these key certification agencies.
Non Certification programms:
*Snorkeling and Skin Diving
When you learn how to snorkel, snorkels and masks will not leak. Kicks are easy and powerful. Ears never feel the pain of depth. Breath holding becomes natural. We`ll teach you.
*Try Scuba in the Pool
Here you take a real dive, on a shallow ocean reef, accompanied by an instructor. The instructor works with no more than two students for a half-day of theory and pool diving experience.
*Try Scuba with Ocean Dives
This program includes the pool experience listed above and ads the experience of diving in the ocean. You`ll see the living reef and see thousands of tropical fish.
*Scuba Review
Have your C-card already but it was a while since you jumped in? The Scuba Review is a quick refresher to get you going again. It is focused on the most important safety skills that you learned in the Open Water Class. First a short session in the pool and then 2 boat dives with our instructor.
Location description: Florida is the center of scuba diving in the US. Florida diving is the most diverse. There are more dive shops and dive boats in Southeast Florida than anywhere else on the planet. With this much volume and competition, the local and traveling diver reaps the benefits of lowest prices and incredible values.
Southeast Florida has the largest artificial reef and wreck program in the country. There are 60 wrecks in the vicinity. Several of Palm Beach and Broward County wrecks are perfect for the novice diver. Most of our wrecks are within the sport diver limit of 130 feet. Some are much deeper and require technical skills. We even have one of the world’s top ten natural wrecks.
The reefs from North Palm Beach to South Ft. Lauderdale run parallel to shore. The first line favors the south from Boca Raton through Pompano and is close to shore and shallow. The second line is scattered in the north and almost constant from Boca Raton to southern Ft. Lauderdale and ranges from a quarter to a half mile off shore with depths from twenty-five to fifty feet. The third and best line of reef is solid from Jupiter to south Ft. Lauderdale. This reef runs from forty-five feet to over a hundred with great ledges. All of our reefs are abundant with life.
From Jacksonville to Coco Beach you`ll find some very good artificial reefs (wrecks) to explore. By south Florida standards, everything is pretty far off shore but the spearfishing opportunities are huge. Visibility on the wrecks is surprisingly good and worth the trip.
From Tampa to Marco Island the water is shallow and void of coral but they do have rock ledges and some wrecks that make things interesting. The Gulf of Mexico is very shallow close to shore so trips here move pretty far off shore and the visibility is often around 20 feet. This is big fish country. You can bump into more grouper on one dive than you`ve ever seen.
The Panhandle of Florida, Panama City to Pensacola, has some great artificial reefs and freshwater springs to entertain divers in the Southeastern U.S. that need a quick fix of compressed air underwater. It`s only a few hours drive from Atlanta, Ashville, Birmingham and Greenville.
This is the Spring and Cave capitol of the U.S. People from around the world come to explore the hundreds of miles of underwater caves here. Special training and equipment is required to operate in this realm.
The Keys are world famous as a dive destination. Everybody that comes to South Florida for over a week should dive there at least once. The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary is in the process of returning the reefs to their pristine beginnings. The upper Keys have two famous artificial reefs (wrecks) The Spiegel Grove and the Duane. The readers of Scuba Diving Magazine have voted our area as having better diving in 8 out of 9 categories. Email us for information on the best way to dive in the Keys.
