Harrisburg Scuba Center is a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive center, using instructional procedures and certifying standards established and maintained by PADI.

If you`re still not sure SCUBA is for you try one of the Discover SCUBA classes. Discover SCUBA is a fun ``try it before you buy it`` option. During Discover SCUBA you get to don all the scuba equipment and swim around a local pool. This way you can ``discover`` if scuba diving is for you.

Classroom facilities for up to 15 students.
PADI classes offered from the introductory Discover SCUBA session through the professional Divemaster program.
Before you go you may want to get wet with a refresher. It can be formal and structured or informal. You can come to a pool session and join a class, or just put on the gear and get acquainted with it again. If you wish, a Divemaster can assist you in the pool. Joining a pool session costs a mere ten dollars.

Dive Travel :
*Florida Caverns - Van trip to Florida with two dives at Ginnie Springs, 2 Dives at Blue Grotto, two dives at Devils Den, snorkeling in Crystal River with the Manatees, and a drift dive down Rainbow River. Includes admission fees 3 nights lodging ,dives. All for $500!
*Nassau: This is a trip you could complete your open water certification on. Staying at the Orange Hill Hotel and diving with Stuart Cove for two days. Various add-ons are available including a Shark Awareness Specialty. Other add-ons include two tank shark dive, wall flying, all day diving, night dive. Air fare, hotel transfer, hotel, and two days diving included in $985 per person price.
*Bonaire: Here we go again to the shore diving capitol of the world. This is one of our most popular dive destinations. We will be staying at the beautiful PLAZA Resort with one of the finest beaches, if not the finest beach on the island. We have included free Nitrox on this trip. Anyone wanting to get nitrox certified will attend a class session prior to the trip and for around $120 you can complete the test and the required dives on your first day (Sunday) on the island. We will be flying out of Philadelphia on Air Jamaica directly to Jamaica and on to Bonaire. We will be doing one boat dive and have unlimited shore diving. Five passenger pickups will be rented upon arrival to accommodate the shore diving.
*How about returning to Freeport in the Bahamas. There is so much to do within walking distance of the hotel. You can find outstanding restaurants, nightly entertainment, duty free shopping and a beautiful casino. We walk to the dive shop and dream about the yachts we pass on the way.
*Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.
Ningaloo reef we are told is as or more spectacular than the Great Barrier Reef. In addition the whale sharks live in this area for a couple of months in the spring/early summer. The dive operation spots them with planes and drops you in their path for a close up encounter. They guarantee if you spend three days with them you will have an encounter. We plan to spend 6 to 7 days diving there to also enjoy the other beautiful reef sites.
On the return trip we are planning an optional stop in Kwajalein to explore the World War Two wrecks via live aboard. Kwajalein has just been opened to divers, the first time since WW II . This is the site of a major WW II sea battle with over 50 ships and scores of aircraft.
