Company description Hoboken Dive Center was founded in 1991 to provide the divers of Central New Jersey with a place of their own - a focal point for the local diving community.
Since that time, we`ve trained thousands of divers, dove on hundreds of wrecks, led many dive trips to exotic locations, and dunked at least one video camera.
After ten years, our objectives remain the same; provide the best training, the best equipment, and the best service around - all in a professional, yet relaxed environment.
Come by the shop, and tell us what you`re interested in. We love to talk about diving and we`re always looking to introduce new friends to our favorite sport.
Hoboken Dive Center regularly sponsors trips to some of the world`s finest dive destinations. You can always count on a great time with great people on an HDC dive trip. Nearly every week from May to October, Hoboken Dive Center sponsors a trip to a great local dive site. Whether you`re looking to snare a few bugs or drop in on a deep wreck, we have the right trip for you.
Our courses:
*PADI Open Water Diver
The Open Water Certification Course consists of two parts: Classroom/Pool Training and Open Water Training Dives. Open Water Courses meet once a week for six weeks alternating every week between classroom and pool sessions. Class size is limited to 8 students to ensure that you receive as much personal attention as possible. The price of Classroom and Pool training is $189 and includes the use of all Scuba equipment except for mask, snorkel, and fins which must be purchased by each student.
*Advanced Open Water Diver
PADI`s Advanced Open Water Diver program has something for everyone. This in-water, performance-based program includes a total of five dives. You will be required to do a navigation and a deep dive, you will then need to do three other dives out of which we recommend you do the night, wreck, and search and recovery dives.
*Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you`ll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
*Divemaster
Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you`ll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
