Jack`s Diving Locker is your Hawaii IDC training headquarters.
Jack`s Diving Locker, established in 1981, is Kona`s most complete dive & snorkel facility. We offer a wide range of services including daily boat trips, top of the line dive & snorkel gear, quality training, and some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff in the state.
Established in 1981, we have a long and interesting history in our local community. From certifying Jerry Garcia to pioneering the use of dive site moorings.
Unique in the dive industry, most of our staff are year-round scuba professionals. Although we have over 40 employees, a third of them have been with us for over 10 years. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds, with each person bringing a unique flavor to your experience.
Custom built in 2003, we have one of the best the facilities you will find anywhere. From our modern retail showroom, to our 12` deep scuba pool, we have everything you need .
We have four fast boats to get you to Kona`s best dive and snorkel spots. All have been customized for our needs and include hot showers, swim platforms, and easy to board ladders.
As a PADI Gold Palm (5-Star) Facility we conduct a full range of diving courses, from introductory experiences in the pool to professional level training for Instructors. Whether it`s your first time or your hundredth, we`ll show you how to have FUN and be safe in the underwater world! Aside from our many PADI courses, we also offer National Geographic Certification, SDI Global Referrals and Universal Referrals for NAUI, SSI, YMCA, IDEA, and PDIC.
Hawaii is one of the best places in the world to learn to dive. You can start out with a simple introduction in our pool and then go on to do a dive off of our boat with you Instructor... Or you can jump in feet first with a full certification courses to become a PADI or National Geographic Diver.
If you are already certified, and are ready to learn more about diving, advanced courses are the way to go. From the Adventure Diver to Rescue diver, these courses will teach you how to go from a novice to an experienced diver.
These courses give you detailed experience in specialized diving activities. Whether you want to extend your bottom time with Nitrox, or you want to pursue your dream of being an underwater photographer, our Instructors can show you the way.

June to December, the garua season (garua is the Spanish word for mist) is cooler and drier above water; air temps average between 65 and 75 degrees. Seas tend to be rougher, and vis lower (20 to 80 feet), but plankton means more big animals, including whale sharks. It`s also peak time for mating birds and sea lion pups.
