Company description The avid diver will experience nothing less than a good time at Lake Rawlings. While many divers wouldn`t look toward the Mid-Atlantic for a quality diving location, Lake Rawlings provides suprises for those seeking something different in their adventures.
With a maximum depth of 65 feet, warm water, and good visibility (30 to 50 feet), the lake has many wonders to explore.
In fact, Lake Rawlings is so popular among divers that it was rated as one of the TOP 50 DIVE SITES in the U.S. by a national diving publication. We were happy to be recognized as one of the premiere diving location in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
With this type of recognition, no diver should find a reason to not visit, ``the clearest lake from Maine and Florida!``
Confined Water Platform
Our large confined water platform makes it easier to practice basic skills away from the higher traffic entrance to the lake.
It`s the safety of a pool, combined with the fun of the lake!
Winter Warming Station (November to April)
As a boost for winter diving at Lake Rawlings, we have added a Warming Station on the bluff nearest the water so that divers can change from street clothes to dry suit (or wet suit), and vice-versa after the dive. The temperature inside the station is always 25 degrees F warmer on a sunny day without a heat source; but for those really cold days we`ve also added a 30W heater inside (no chance of being cold here). So, bring your dry suit (or whatever you wear for winter diving), and use it this winter!

Underwater Attractions
At Lake Rawlings, we have prepared various attractions to peak the interest of divers as they explore our underwater world. Here are just a few of the things you will find.
PADI Open Water Scuba Diver
Our PADI Open Water Diver weekend course isdivided into three segments: Academic, Confined Water, and Open Water. The academic and confined water sessions will present basic information to the student about diving equipment, adapting to the underwater world, and the diving environment among other topics. The open water session puts your new skills to the test with five dives!
This is a FUN COURSE! Private lessons can also be arranged!
Cost: $375/person
(Includes tuition, scuba equipment for confined water sessions and open water dives, PADI Open Water Manual or CD-ROM, all certification fees.)

Primitive Camping
$8.00 per camper per night
Nothing beats sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and telling stories after a day of diving. Roughing it should always be this good!
RV/Camper Camping
$30.00 per hookup per night
If pitching a tent is a little too natural for you, reserve one of our electrical hookups and bring your camper or RV. Stay at home while you stay at the Lake.
Cabin ``Camping``
$125.00 per night (2 night minimum)
Air conditioning? Running hot and cold water? A refrigerator?!?! Welcome to the finest in ``lake luxury`` camping.
Weather & Water
The weather and water conditions at Lake Rawlings change throughout the year, allowing you to experience everything from near-tropical temperatures in the summer to ice diving in the winter months.
Since the bottom is all granite rock, the water doesn`t stir and become murky! Our lake also supports numerous species of fish, crayfish, snails, and a special kind of algae that resembles coral, all while retaining excellent water quality.
Some of our underwater attractions include ``Wayne`` a sunken school bus on a rock shelf in 30 feet of water, two cabin cruisers, cars, and huge boulders of granite walls with explorable niches and crevices.
