Company description Explore the best of Oregon diving. The Oregon coast offers the adventurous diver some of the most beautiful reefs in the world. The Oregon reef system is full of life. Whether you`re interested in spear fishing, photography, or sight seeing, the Oregon coast has it all!
Newport Watersports has everything to meet your diving needs:
•Newport Watersports is a fully operational dive retail.
•Complete rental for SCUBA or snorkeling and also boogie boards.
•SCUBA instruction from Open Water I through Instructor. We have ongoing certification classes that teach ocean diving.
•We also offer full service on all your SCUBA equipment including tanks and regulators.
Newport Watersports makes renting scuba equipment easy! Call ahead to reserve your equipment, pick it up the day you want to dive, and you are set for a diving adventure. Once you have finished diving, return the equipment to the shop. Use our rinse tub to rinse off your equipment and then jump into our free hot shower. The equipment is due back the following day any time before the shop closes. Good planning could mean two days of diving with only one days rental fee!
We offer a full schedule of classes. New classes are beginning each month:
•Open Water I
•Open Water II, Advanced
•Rescue
•Divemaster
The following is a class description and cost breakdown for an OpenWater I certification. Open Water I is the beginning course in SCUBA. This certification is accepted world wide. Newport Watersports provides further course instruction including Advanced, Rescue, Master Scuba Diver, Dive Master, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor. If you have a specific diving career goal in mind, we would be happy to assist you in developing a specific step by step program. For more information or to sign up for a class, please call us or come by the store.
The benefits of getting trained through Newport Watersports are great:
*Free refresher course to all divers certified with Newport Watersports
*10% discount on any non-sale SCUBA equipment (excluding equipment rental fees)
*Actual coastal dive training off the beautiful Oregon Coast.
COURSE COMPLETION: 3-4 WEEKS
Open Water II Course is an advanced level, continuing education course for divers who have successfully completed an Openwater I course. The advanced course is an enjoyable program of continued supervised experience, and is designed to be taught entirely in the open water setting.
To increase diving enjoyment and skills through supervised activity and continuing education for divers who:
*Desire additional training.
*Have moved from one diving area to another.
*Desire orientation to a variety of diving sites.
Once you`ve completed all six dives, you will receive an Advanced Certification card designating you as an Advanced Diver. You will also have acquired the skills necessary to plan dives under the same conditions as you have experienced during the course.
TUITION FOR THE COURSE IS $135.00
To sign up, call the store or stop by and talk with us about getting you started. Often you can chose the weekends you want to schedule your class, and you can even schedule your dives to be done in Newport if you would prefer.
