Company description Some notes on our SCUBA instruction philosophy:
- We do NOT require our students to purchase equipment as part of their training. Why would you purchase something that you know nothing about yet? Instead, we let our students try a wide variety of equipment in both the pool and the ocean to assist them in their post-training purchasing decisions.
- Our courses include everything, from start to finish. There are no surprises like extra charges for certification cards, boat seats, gear rental, etc. The price for the course is the WHOLE price.
Open Water Diver - The first big step in your underwater adventure, our two-week Open Water class includes classroom work, video presentations, confined water training and all necessary equipment while you train with us. (Unlike some other companies we do not require you to buy gear from us to get our low prices.) Also included in our price: books, and four ocean dives (two tanks each day on two separate days. ) When you graduate, you`ll be a certified SCUBA diver! was $350 Current Special - $299
Accelerated Open Water - Three day certification, with prior arrangements made. The same fine instruction, the same attention to detail, and the same certification level as our regular two-week class, but we get you through it in just three days. This is the one you want if you are short on time, or just anxious to get in there and get it done. Those three days of training do not necessarily need to be consecutive either. We will try to accommodate your schedule in all cases. Obviously, the further in advance you arrange for this class, the better your chances of getting exactly what you want.- $399
Private Open Water Lessons- nobody but you and your instructor...GUARANTEED! Make it a two-week class, or a 3-day class, or something in between. Your choice. $580
Discover Scuba Diving - Our famous ``introductory dive``, no experience necessary! We`ll begin with a quick overview of SCUBA equipment and safety, introducing you to a new and exciting way to breathe underwater, then it`s off to the ocean to meet its inhabitants. - $150; Summer Special - $110
Advanced Open Water Diver - The perfect learning-by-diving program, AOW is all about learning new things in the water. Night diving, deep diving, underwater navigation, and more. Whether you are fresh out of your Open Water class or have bunch of dives under your belt, this is a great course. Includes the use of all necessary specialty equipment, two two-tank boat excursions, and one one-tank shore dive. - $350 Summer Special - $299
Emergency First Responder - The newest First Aid, CPR, and accident management course is now available at Oahu Dive Center. - $175
Rescue Diver - Maybe the most important course for the recreational SCUBA diver, the Rescue Diver class teaches you how to handle diving accidents and emergencies, and will also increase your own awareness and skills. The best way to become a better diver. - $350 Current Special - $299

Location description: Oahu Dive Sites:
Mahi - This wreck is REALLY wrecked. It is an old Navy mine layer. A mid nineties hurricane has moved it 90 degrees from its original position. It is now collapsing in on itself. Due to its condition, this is NOT a wreck to penetrate. Big chunks of metal occasionally let loose and you do not want to be underneath when they let go. The entire middle/starboard deck has collapsed and the mid starboard side has also collapsed.
Max depth: 95`
Look for: Spotted Eagle Rays circling the wreck, Frogfish on the railings, HUGE Moray Eels all over the place, and schooling Puffer Fish.
Watch out for: loose chunks of the wreck can be dislodged; lots of sharp edges and urchins on the deck.
YO-257/San Pedro - The Y0-257 is a decommissioned Navy ship; Yard Oiler #257. (We have no idea where #256 is) You get two wrecks in one on this dive as long as the current is cooperating. Atlantis sightseeing submarines cruise by if your timing is right. Now THAT is not something you see on every dive. Maximum depth is 100` and the fish and eels and large turtles are everywhere. There are large cut-outs all along the sides of the YO-257 that allow you to see the inside of this spectacular wreck. The San Pedro, which sits about 50 yards away, is a smaller, shallower and much more wrecked wreck. It is definitely of the falling-apart persuasion. Generally LOTS of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles cruising this one as well as a resident White Tip reef shark that tends to hang around nearby.
Max depth: 101`
Look for: White-Tipped Reef Sharks on the San Pedro, huge turtles sleeping on the main decks, Moray Eels in the piping.
Watch out for: mid-water current; stay on the line during ascent and descent. Avoid oil tank cutouts in strong current. Stay directly over one of the wrecks or on the bottom between the wrecks if the submarine(s) are passing by.
Shark`s Cove - A popular North Shore site, the further along the walls you go, the cooler the site becomes. Early birds get the best parking spot. Great lava tubes and arches.
Max depth: 50`
Look for: big lava tubes to swim through, octopus, turtles, and huge schools of tangs.
Watch out for: panhandlers in the parking lot; rocky areas on entry and exit; path can be slick when wet.
Three Tables - Our favorite spot on the North Shore, there are caverns and ledges and walls and canyons and...well...it`s just fantastic. we could dive you a dozen times at this spot and show you a different dive each time.
Max depth: 44`
Look for: sand-bottomed canyons, huge caverns, oodles of Eels, and frequent sightings of Hawaiian Green Sea turtles.
Watch out for: current on outside walls during changing tides, especially full moon tides.
