Company description We provide a range of equipment and services for your diving pleasure.
Ocean Odyssey offers dive training programs starting every day. Our PADI certified instructors provide programs for people of all ages (minimum of 8 years old) and skill levels. We teach snorkeling, entry level, specialty, rescue diving, technical and instructor programs.

• Our instructors have been diving for over 25 years and have been teaching the PADI system for more than fifteen years

FAMILY-ORIENTED
• Our store was one of the first in the nation to offer Bubblemaker courses for
children starting at age 8
• We offer Junior Open Water Diver Certification for children age 10 and up
• The whole family can learn to dive together and participate in trips together
We at Ocean Odyssey Dive Center, Inc. are here to guide you through your diving, whether it is snorkeling on a reef, diving local quarries, or technical/cave diving. We can take you through the full spectrum of diving experiences.
Obtaining your certification and starting your journey towards a life of adventure in the underwater world is easy. We utilize DVD or CD ROM independent study materials to let you learn at your own time and pace. Once you complete the independent part of knowledge development ,we will then have a academic session with you before we head to a local aquatic facility to begin your pool dives. After you gain experience and confidence in the pool you will be ready for your ``open water`` dives at a local lake or even a trip to the ocean. See our tWater diver program.

Location description: We also provide travel and vacation plans. Ocean Odyssey is a certified travel center and can get you where you want to go.
Florida springs December 26 to December 30th (anytime in between). Open Water and Cavern Diving. Come to central Florida and enjoy the 72 degree springs. Nothing fancy about this trip. Ocean Odyssey staff will be your guides, you do your own diving. Most people car pool down or fly to Jacksonville and rent a car. Gainesville is close too. Lodging is at one of the local motels. Call for more information.
Our Staff
*Conrad Pfeifer, President, PADI Course Director, Cave and Technical Instructor Trainer
Conrad Pfeifer, President of Ocean Odyssey Dive Center Inc., has been diving for over 24 years and teaching scuba for 15. He is originally from Pittsburgh and is now a resident of the Cranberry Township area.
In addition to running Ocean Odyssey Dive Center, he teaches beginning scuba divers on a daily basis, snorkeling and Bubblemaker experiences for kids ages 8-10 and more advanced /technical specialties such as cave and technical/deep diving to those who desire to explore. He runs the IDC ( instructor development courses) and EFR training.
Conrad was one of a select number of divers permitted to document and dive the ruins of the Civil War ironclad, USS MONITOR. He has been involved with the survey and recovery of the propeller, engine and smaller artifacts from 1995 to 2001. He has also been on several expeditions to the ANDREA DORIA, the ocean liner that sank in 1956 in a collision with the STOCKHOLM. In addition to these historic dives he has been a part of an exploration team that traveled to the Yucatan Peninsula Mexico for underwater cave exploration.
*Barry Smyda- Manager, Master Instructor, Pro-Tech service technician
Although Barry is a new face to some of you he has been around the Pittsburgh diving community for over 25 years. Barry is a Master Instrucor and resident photography instructor. He had is own dive center in Greensburg and just recently integrated with Ocean Odyssey. Barry brings a wealth of knowledge in equipment repair and teaching. That``s why we call him ``YODA``.
Lindsey Kelley-customer service
*Lindsey has been a certified diver since 1999 when she took Scuba for college credit her Junior year at Slippery Rock University. Under the wing of Bob Ogoreuc (a.k.a. ``Coach``), Lindsey developed her open water skills. Shortly after earning her certification, ``Coach`` introduced her to the folks at Ocean Odyssey Dive Center (only 8 months young at the time). Lindsey worked summers at OODC while she finished her degree at SRU, during which time she quickly grew her PADI certification card collection. Post-graduation in May 2000, Lindsey worked part-time at OODC, where she continues to work some evenings during the week. Currently, Lindsey is pursuing her PADI Divemaster and NSS-CDS Full Cave certifications.
