Company description Ocean Planet SCUBA is the premiere Five Star IDC Dive Center in Arizona. We take pride in offering a professional fun family atmosphere. Our Dive Center has the largest pool in the valley. We are a PADI certified dive shop and offer a full range of certification classes. If you`re a new diver or a seasoned veteran, you`ll soon learn that Ocean Planet is where you should be diving.

We, at Ocean Planet Scuba, have worked and instructed for other dive operations with large class sizes and limited time. Through our experiences we realized that small classes provide the best environment for learning and retaining the information and skills taught. We do not offer bargains or specials for the cost of our classes and try to make up the cost in quantity because we feel that quality and time far exceeds quantity.
When you sign up for instruction at Ocean Planet Scuba Dive Center, you can be assured that you are going to receive the best possible instruction in the most conducive environment. And you`re going to have a lot of fun while doing it.

Ocean Planet Scuba has expanded it`s Dive Trips and Destinations over the next year. Whether you want a bare bones trip to San Diego or San Carlos Mexico or an all inclusive, luxurious vacation in Belize, we have you covered.
Many of our smaller trips center around dive training events such as Open Water or Advanced Open Water certifications as well as Nitrox and Wreck Specialty certifications. This does not mean that you need to go through a certification to go on the trips - these are open to any certified diver. Come along and let us show you the seals in San Carlos, the World War II era wrecks in the Philippines or the Blue Hole in Belize.
Location description: *Mexico diving
Our trips to San Carlos, Mexico offers great diving at budget costs. San Carlos has everything from easy beach diving to shipwrecks and unlimited depth.
We depart for San Carlos early on Friday mornings and take a van and trailer to the little Mexican town. This eases the burden of taking your personal vehicle, obtaining Mexican insurance and dealing with the regsitration of your vehicle with Mexican authorities. If you should choose to drive your personal vehicle down, we can assist you in the documentation coordination.
Once in Mexico, we do two beach dives on Friday afternoon, followed by two local boat dives Saturday morning, one night dive Saturday night and three boat dives out at Seal Island on Sunday. We can also hit the 300 foot Ferry shipwreck on Sunday instead of a dive at the osland if people so desire. Out at the island, you will be greeted by seals and great visibility. We usually have a couple of guys in Technical gear out there to do some deep dives so check the equipment out and ask questions if you are interested.
*San Diego Shipwrecks, Kelp Forests
Our San Diego Trips are more fun than a person should be allowed to have. With the mixture of the wrecks that sit right off-shore, the beach and the nightlife, you might consider calling in sick on Monday.
We board the boat on Saturday morning and head out to dive the HMS Yukon. The Yukon is a Canadian Destroyer that was sunk for divers in 2001. It is almost 300 feet long and sits at a 60 degree list. It is cut out for diver access and is a great penetration dive for those trained to do so. It sits in 100 fsw and is a perfect dive to use 32% Nitrox on.
Our second dive is also done on the Yukon since it is too big to see in one dive. Take a look around, check out the white anemones all over it and look out for the big Ling Cod that hangs out near the bow.
Our third dive is usually on the Ruby-E. This is a Coast Guard cutter that was sunk in the mid-Nineties. It is a great dive in 85 fsw and is covered in gorgeous pink algae.
