Company description Incorporated in June 1997, Sandia Snorkel and Scuba, Inc. is a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center. As such, we are New Mexico`s highest rated dive center. PADI is the world`s largest and most recognized scuba diver certification agency. A 5-Star rating means that you are taking advantage of our ability to issue the exclusive PADI 5-Star Certification Card. The PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center membership level is awarded to progressive PADI Dive Centers that excel in providing dive consumers with a full range of diver education programs through the professional instructor level courses, equipment selection, and experience opportunities and that actively promote aquatic environmental awareness. A PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center is active in its community presenting a professional image consistent with, or better than, the norm of the marketplace. These dive centers embrace the PADI System of diver education and are committed to providing customers with quality products, services and experiences. This unique certification credential may be issued only by those PADI Dive Centers who have earned the 5-Star rating, and have a PADI Course Director on staff. The greatest benefit you receive, though, is service --- the kind of high quality and personalized attention to detail that we enjoy and keep in order to maintain our PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center rating. Here are just a few services we have to offer:
*Code of Ethics -We provide our customers with well maintained, new, state-of-the-art rental and instructional equipment. We ensure that our staff members provide you with honest, in-depth advice on the equipment we sell.
*Scuba Service Center -``We Service What We Sell`` means what it says: you`ll be able to get fast, convenient, local service by manufacturer-qualified in-house service specialists on all the breathing equipment you buy from our dive center.
*Pure Air Station -We have our air analyzed by an independent testing agency, a minimum of once every three months. In order to achieve and maintain this award, our air supply must always meet or exceed the CGA Type E regulations for sport diving standards.
*Community Involvement -Maintaining a positive image for diving among the people in our community goes a long way toward assuring continuous community support for you and your diving activities. A positive image for diving also helps bring more people into the sport, which in turn helps create more diving opportunities for all divers -- including you. We publish newsletters, sponsor public diving events, promote diving education and activities, and offer Emergency First Response courses to the general public.
*Educational Proficiency -This is your assurance that whenever you take a course from us, you can expect to be taught by highly qualified PADI Professional Instructors and receive a PADI certification.

*Bonaire
Bonaire boasts one of the world`s most pristine marine parks brimming with exquisite reef fish and healthy barrel sponges. Ideal conditions, superb shore diving, and seemingly infinite reef diving make Bonaire one of the best diving vacation spots on the planet. Though safely out of the Caribbean hurricane belt, the regions constant trade winds keep the weather and water warm and pleasant year round. So whether your outdoor passions favor water or land, the mild or the wild, Bonaire is sure to satisfy them all. The fringe reefs are literally right off the beach on virtually every part of the island. Visiting divers love that the average boat trip to dive sites is 15 minutes with the farthest sites generally reached in an hour. Boats depart for the short cruise to nearby reefs three times daily from the sturdy pier, which also feature gear and camera rinse cylinders, fresh water showers, and easy access to Bari Reef. When it comes to maximizing your in-water experiences, Bonaire Dive & Adventure has all the bases covered. Divers will appreciate the convenience of drive-up access to the cylinder and gear area, which makes loading and unloading for shore diving excursions a snap.
*Yellowstone Lake
Yellowstone is a study in contrasts, a place of great natural beauty where urbanites and suburbanites crowd together hoping to get away from it all and not always succeeding.
*Balmorhea State Park
The Balmorhea State Park Cienega Project, which recreated a desert wetland in West Texas, has won a 1998 Texas Quality Initiative Award for ``innovation`` from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and its cooperative partners. Described as a ``classic win-win situation by organizations ranging from the Texas Organization for Endangered Species to the Cotton Council, the Balmorhea Cienega Project conceived by the Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPW) was awarded the TQI award for its unprecedented cooperative effort among the local farming community, and a host of state and federal agencies.
