Company description The Scuba Shack is the Cincinnati area`s premier scuba diving and snorkeling training, certification, and equipment facility. Serving Northern Kentucky, Southwestern Ohio, and Southeastern Indiana, we offer scuba diving and snorkeling lessons, classes, training, travel, gear, and equipment... including ALL levels of scuba instruction and certification from beginner through Certified Professional Instructor.
The Scuba Shack is the most active and experienced dive shop in the entire Greater Cincinnati area.
We have trained and certified 4,000+ safe, comfortable, confident, competent divers.
At The Scuba Shack, we provide safe, comfortable, fun scuba training where you will learn to dive at your pace according to your schedule. We offer scuba certifications with ALL of these major international agencies:
SSI - Scuba Schools International,
NASDS - National Association of Scuba Diving Schools,
NAUI - National Association of Underwater Instructors,
PADI - Professional Association of Diving Instrutors,
SDI - Scuba Diving International,
TDI - Technical Diving International.
The Scuba Shack maintains the area`s largest inventory of scuba and snorkeling equipment.
Scuba certification consists of 3 elements:
1.Academic training, (textbook, video, classroom)
2.Confined-water training, (pool training) and
3.Checkout dives. (done in an instructured ``open-water`` environment)
At The Scuba Shack, we provide complete, comprehensive, professional training on an individual basis in a relaxed, casual classroom and pool setting. With our flexible scheduling and modular Home Study teaching system, you can complete your classroom and pool requirements in just a few days... on weekdays... or weeknights... or weekends.
All classroom and pool training is conducted at The Scuba Shack.
Most people are ready to ``move-on`` to their Open-Water checkout dives after only 4 class and pool training sessions! However, if more training and practice is needed for the student and/or the instructor to feel completely comfortable, we will simply arrange additional sessions... AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
With The Scuba Shack, you can always arrange for Private Instruction with a Personal Scuba Trainer - which can accommodate ANY schedule.
Our dedicated team of Certified Professional Instructors work EXCLUSIVELY for The Scuba Shack. We don`t ``rent-out`` our pool facility to independent ``freelance`` trainers, whose practices and teaching techniques may be questionable.
Each of our instructors teach ONLY with The Scuba Shack. They are thoroughly trained and kept updated on the latest training and safety techniques. All of our teaching and assisting staff is really ``our`` staff and, as such, are subject to an ongoing formal monitoring and evaluation process which assures that every Instructor and Assistant Instructor at The Scuba Shack maintains the highest safety and training standards... not just in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area... - IN THE ENTIRE SCUBA DIVING INDUSTRY!
