Company description Tri-State Scuba Water Academy is a unique PADI 5 Star IDC Training Facility located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Established twelve years ago, with the goal of turning all aspects of dive education into ``positive experiences``, tremendous attention has been paid to the needs, comfort, convenience and desires of the student. Our mission is to provide you with the best education, instructors, environment, equipment and facilities.
Tri-State Scuba Water Academy offers many amenities:
On-site, private, indoor heated pool kept at 86 degrees for student comfort.
Spacious, well equipped classrooms with the latest in teaching and visual aids,
educational materials and equipment.
A private training quarry only 45 minutes from our facility; pristine, used only by Tri-State, with a training platform and very easy shore access, no overnight stay extra expense.
Fully stocked retail center, with the latest in dive and snorkel equipment, educational materials, cameras, wetsuits, dive skins, accessories, novelties and much, much more!
Classes offered from Snorkeling to Open Water Certification, and all the way to Instructor Development.
A travel department, with a full range of travel options, for certification or having fun with old or new friends, while diving with experienced and knowledgeable divers.
Academy General Courses include: Learn to SCUBA DIVE, Learn to SNORKEL, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, CPR/MFA, Specialties, Nitrox, Master Scuba Diver, Water Aerobics.
Academy Professional Courses include: Dive Master, Assistant Instructor, OWSI Instructor, CPR/MFA Instructor, Nitrox Instructor, Specialties Instructor, DAN O2 Instructor, IDC Staff Instructor, Career Counseling.
Learn to SCUBA DIVE - This is where we take the plunge into the underwater world and experience marine life up close and personal. The PADI OW course is a two part program, which will give you skills necessary to scuba dive anytime you want, for the rest of your life. Part One consists of pool skills and classroom studies, both completed in our fantastic facilities. The work requires approximately 10 hours in the class and 10 hours in the pool. We offer convenient schedules year round that consist of either 3 Saturdays, 3 Sundays, or 5 weeknights. If this won`t work into your busy schedule, we offer private lessons to meet your timetable. Part Two incorporates 4 dives in the open water with an instructor, to complete the certification process. These dives may be done locally in our conveniently located private training quarry, or while you are on vacation-anywhere in the world. We start certifying at the age of ten and have certified people in their seventies. It is never to soon or too late to enjoy this phenomenal sport. The cost of Part One - academics and pool work is $249.00. Training materials are $80 and mask, snorkel, fins and booties are required. The cost of Part Two - the open water dives completed locally is $139.00 plus rental gear.
Learn to SNORKEL - Snorkeling is fun for kids 6 years old to....well, you decide! These classes are offered on a private basis, and take about an hour to complete. The cost is $35.00 and includes required equipment.
Advanced Open Water Diver - In this course, there is a workshop of skills, with most of the training completed right on the dive site. We will introduce you to deep diving, navigation techniques, perfect your buoyancy, teach you how to find and bring objects to the surface, and take you on a night dive.
Can`t get enough diving experience, or want something specific? We can do it! Become accomplished in underwater photography, diving wrecks, identifying marine life, diving locally in the winter using dry suits, or just about anything that you can think of! Many specialties may be taught right after your open water training is completed. Don`t worry about ``paying your dues`` to learn something new, when we can teach you right away.
Location description: PADI Open Water Certification Trips:
Summer time is great for accomplishing your open water certification dives.Tri-State Scuba Water Academy has sole use of a private quarry in Falmouth, Kentucky. After a short drive you will be enjoying the clear water, fish and rural setting with class mates. By the end of the weekend you will have accomplished your goal and be a certified diver, without having to spend a night away from home. Remember to bring lots of bottled water and your picnic lunch. Scuba diving works up a powerful thirst and hunger!
PADI Advanced Open Water Certification Trips:
This is a fun way to sharpen your skills and expand your diving knowledge. We will introduce you to deep diving, navigation techniques, perfect your buoyancy, teach you how to find and bring objects to the surface, and take you on a night dive. Since night diving is an option, we can replace this part of the course with environmental awareness or another dive of your choice.
PADI Rescue Certification Trips:
To broaden your diving expertise and become the very best dive buddy, your next step is rescue procedures. This weekend is always everyone`s favorite. You will spend two days at the quarry applying all you have learned in the classroom by participating in scenarios. This is an exciting and challenging weekend. You will learn how to handle situations on shore, as well as off shore, in the water and out. Many of the skills will be useful in your everyday life and you will learn as much from your peers as your instructor.
Diving and White Water Rafting Get-Away:
Let`s Go Diving and white water rafting as a group! We plan to travel to West Virginia for a long weekend. The group will pack the weekend with two days of diving and one day of white water rafting. There will be plenty of activities available for all of our non diving friends as well. Of course the evenings will be spent dining, socializing and generally telling tall tales that expand as the weekend progresses!
