Welcome to the Whidbey Island Dive Center. Located in Oak Harbor on Beautiful Whidbey Island. We are the hub of all diving in the area with over a million visitors annually and thousands of divers who visit Keystone Underwater State Park. Although we are located only an hour or so from the big cities, our island is a wonderful place to stay. We offer some of the best diving the Puget Sound has to offer. From shore diving to boat diving, SCUBA instruction or a great deal on some new equipment, stop by we`ll take care of you.
Intro to Scuba: This is the safest and easiest place to begin your dive experience. After you complete a brief academic course in basic scuba, we`ll take you to the swimming pool where you`ll don the basics and give diving a try under the close supervision of a certified and insured instructor and assistants.

What was I doing before I worked here?
I was cannon fodder for the Untied States Marine Corps. I did my part to protect oil prices in the Gulf War. Now I`m just a little bit different because of it.
Best Dive to Date: Night Dive at Snake Wall, Sechelt, B.C. or Fantasy Island near Port Hardy, B.C. Both had unbelievable visibility.
Scariest Dive to Date: Wally`s Wall on North Pender Island, B.C. Canada Corey and I were doing research for Northwest Dive News. Bob Cooper took us to Wallace Pt., ``Wally`s Wall``. Everything was going good until we ran into a down current that wanted to suck us to the bottom of the shear rock wall. We couldn`t hang on, we couldn`t swim against it, we couldn`t move sideways. All we could do was inflate our BC`s and swim like crazy. The current was so strong that our bubbles weren`t going up. We made it, but I was definatly scared to the point where I was shaking.
Future Plans: Freelance Photographer
* Corey Downer – Instructor:
At Store Since: 1995
Certifications Held:
•SSI Open Water Instructor
•PADI Divve Master
Other Accomplishments: One of the only two to survuve Wally`s Wall in BC. Got a cool t-shirt for doing it to.
Best Dive to Date: Any dive inCanada, and the Red Sea in Muscat, Oman. Deception Pass is always good too.
Scariest Dive to Date: Wally`s Wall the closest to death you`ll ever come.
Future Plans: Once out of the Navy Become a Jedi Knight and rule the Galaxy.
* Jason Cunningham - Instructor:
At Store Since: 1996
Certifications Held:
•SSI Divecon
•PADI Divemaster
•IANTD Nitrox Diver
•Aqualung Repair Technician
Other Interests:
•Underwater Photography
•Technical Diving (if I can ever afford it)
Best Dive to Date: Cave diving inTazmania, Australia. The caves were so narrow your hands dragged the bottom while your tank scraped the top.
Snake Island Wall in Victoria B.C. The best vis I have ever seen.
Scariest Dive to Date: I was trapped in a concrete barge in Jebal Ali. My buddy and I entered this 30 ft passage only to have him leave and casue a silt-out. I was trapped fo twenty minutes before giving up. Not moving was the answer/
Future Plans: Work on getting PADI and SSI O/W Instructor then running off to Guam.
Have Henry Powers finally admit that I am the Master and he is the Apprentice. The only one superior to me is the Mighty Corey Downer. Oh how I worship him.
