Company description Abyss Scuba Dive Club promotes safe scuba diving for all levels of diving expertise. Monthly meetings feature lectures with prominent dive professionals on New Jersey Wreck Diving, Caribbean Diving, Marine Conservation and Scuba Safety. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month unless otherwise noted and are free to members, their guests and students enrolled in a dive curriculums at Diver Services II or other local Pennsylvania and New Jersey dive shops.
Meetings begin promptly at 7:15 p.m.& are finished by 9:30 p.m. at Franzone`s Restaurant & Sports Bar located on Main Avenue off Ridge Pike between Toland`s Restaurant and The Car Wash in Plymouth Meeting. Casual Dinner upstairs precedes meeting.
Each month we welcome a guest speaker from the diving industry to present information on a dive-related topic. Our Club Officers bring everyone up to date on Club-related business.
Dive students and member`s guests are welcome to attend 2 meetings at no cost before joining. Certain presentations request a donations from non-members
You must be at least 18 years or older to join.
Younger members must have an adult sponsor.
Location description: The Diver`s Abyss Artificial Reef located in New Jersey`s Deep Water Reef, was sunk in September 2003 and co-sponsored by Abyss Dive Club, Diver Services II and the Cape May Sport Fishing Charter Association. Divers Abyss Artificial Reef is part of New Jersey`s Artificial Reef Program and provides a sustainable habitat for marine life attracting a variety of shellfish and native New Jersey pelagics and fish in addition to adding environmentally safe underwater structures for scuba divers.
