SHEDD AQUARIUM`S RIGHT BITE DINNER SERIES:
Enjoy five extraordinary dinners at five renowned Chicago area restaurants and learn how your seafood choices can help protect our environment.
Right Bite, Shedd Aquarium`s sustainable seafood awareness program, educates consumers about seafood that is not only good to eat but good for our oceans, too.
Our sustainable seafood dinner series will feature events at five of the Chicago area`s leading restaurants. A specialty menu will be created by each chef and will include delectable seafood appetizers followed by dinner entrees chosen from Shedd`s Right Bite seafood card. During dessert, Shedd experts will speak on a variety of topics - either seafood or animal related.
Each dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. All restaurants are in Chicago, with the exception of Parker`s Oceanside Grill in Downers Grove, IL. Space is limited and will be offered by advance reservation only.
Dive Training:
``We have had a great summer of diving here in Chicago, and on behalf of the club officers; I would like to congratulate all of you that participated in beginning or continuing your dive education via the many opportunities offered thru the club!
While our local dive season rapidly winds down, the prospect of traveling to a warm water dive destination begins to look more and more inviting to many of us. Along with the great club travel adventures listed above, we also continue to offer many educational opportunities and encourage our members and friends to stay active and increase their diving knowledge and experience throughout the winter months here in the windy city. Whether you are contemplating your first Open Water experience and want to prepare for check-out dives in the spring, or are interested in a referral course this winter, in need of a SCUBA Refresher class, or in preparing for your next trip with a NITROX course, we can help. Whatever your interest, we encourage you to set some personal goals that will allow you to hone your dive skills and increase your experience this winter.
While you don`t need to be a Club member to participate in the training, there are often training specials available for Club members only. We really encourage you to take full advantage of the many benefits of Club membership by joining now........and bring a friend to the next meeting``, Sieg, Director of Dive Training & Dive Travel.

*Cooper Island ``DIVE-IN``
Join Sea Dog Divers for a jam packed week of diving, fun, activities and relaxation while staying in a shore side paradise at the exclusive Cooper Island Beach Club. We have reserved this entire little resort (the only one on the island) for our friends and guests. Imagine a place with your own private stretch of beach, shore diving & snorkeling, great food and privacy all at your doorstep. With their seasoned staff, and fleet of custom Newton dive boats ranging in size from 26 to 46 feet, this premier dive operator will show us the best of BVI diving at sites including the famous R.M.S Rhone, the Indians, wreck alley, etc.

Guests & snorkelers are always welcome on the dive boat too! There is something for everyone here. So come join us to meet some new friends and rendezvous with old friends in the beautiful BVI.

*Grand Cayman
Join renowned marine artist, Rogest, for a truly phenomenal week of art, awareness and diving in Grand Cayman at Divetech and Cobalt Coast Resort. Situated on the pristine NW Tip of Grand Cayman in a unique diving resort, you will be entertained both above and below the water in a special setting of sunsets, the crystal clear aquamarine Caribbean Sea, and hosted to a week of diving, culinary delights and painting. This is a fun filled program for both non-painters and painters.

This adventure trip has the potential to provide photographers & videographers with opportunities to capture some stunning images and to provide everyone with memories to last a lifetime. Our base camp at the wonderful Club Cantamar, is also the home of the permanent field station for the ``Shark Research Institute.`` This is an adventure that is not to be missed!! Ask anyone who was on the 2005 Expedition! Whale Sharks, Hammerheads, Mantas, Sea Lions.
