Company description
The Monadnock Divers Club (MDC) is the only dive club located in the Monadnock region. Founded in 1988, our membership consists of recreational divers. Some with many years of experience as well as many others who are newly certified. The MDC is here to introduce newly certified divers to other dive buddys and new dive sites. We are mostly sport divers, but we have many levels of diving expertise represented by our membership, including scuba instructors. What unites us is our love of the oceans, lakes, and rivers, our concern for dive safety, and our desire to learn more and to share our diving knowledge with others.
Activities of the MDC:
*Dives: Between the months of May and October of each year we have, ocean and boat dives. Every Friday after a dive meeting there is a night dive. Many dives are easy, but we also offer some that are more advanced. Diving with us is a great way to get to know other divers and dive sites.
*Meetings: On the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm we have our dive club meeting. In the summer months we meet twice a month (first and third Tuesday). Visitors are always weclome. Each meeting features club activities, news, an occasional speaker, dive films, and fellowship dive experiences.
*Members are well informed: Our newsletter features articles and tips on diving, news from dive communities around the world, club information, and more. Vacation packages and scuba courses are published. Each dive season a revised buddy list with phone numbers and e-mail addresses is enclosed. We have club speakers share their adventures or their expertise. We learn from fellow divers, members of other dive clubs as well as MDC members, when we engage in our fellowship dive club program.
*We enjoy diving and have fun: We picnic, go on diving related tours, hold slide shows, nice dives, and have an annual Christmas and Holoween parties, Christmas tree trimming dive, and pumpkin carving dive. Whatever your interests, you will find kindred spirits amoung us.
