NYSDA’s first big dive of the year was a big success with about 25 dives enjoying the St Lawrence. I would like to see us continue diving this summer with more great dives and good attendance at NYSDA’s and it’s affiliated members’ events. To this end I was thinking about ways to increase our membership and promote safe and responsible diving. It occurred to me that we all run across other divers from time to time. Some times it is at a dive site and sometime it is just talking to people we happen to run in to at work or there places. A lot of divers have never heard of NYSDA and a lot of new divers don’t know where to dive or have anyone to dive with. This summer, if each member would make it a point, when they discover someone is a diver, to tell them about NYSDA or ask them to join them on a local dive, it would be a good start. It’s very easy to mention our web site at SCUBANY.ORG to people.
Come on and join us for some fun under the water doing what you like to do SCUBA DIVING.
