Company description Beaver Divers is Colorado’s finest, full-service scuba diving shop. Since 1986 Casey Zwaan has operated the dynamic, personalized scuba shop. Beaver Divers is the most successful dive shop in the Rocky Mountains offering all levels of certification classes from beginner through instructor. We provide friendly and professional service for divers and snorkelers.
Beaver Divers is the premier scuba diving center in Colorado. We have trained thousands of divers with proven training techniques. Our staff is knowledgeable and caring, and provides personal service to each individual. The majority of our students are referred to us by family members and friends who have learned to dive through our innovative program. Our primary teaching philosophy incorporates the idea that once a student completes our training program, we will feel confident diving with that individual.
The instructors at Beaver Divers believe that students who train in their own equipment will become more competent divers. Because of this, Beaver Divers has initiated a program to benefit students who purchase a complete diving system through us by providing their classroom/pool training for free. We feel that this is a huge benefit for students by enabling them to learn more easily and confidently when using their own gear. Discounts on training are also given to students who purchase their own mask, snorkel, fins, boots and a gear bag through Beaver Divers. Beaver Divers also offers a guaranteed fit policy for students who purchase equipment.
Beaver Divers is committed to turning out the best divers possible. We believe that the only way a diver can truly be termed an advanced diver is by spending a maximum amount of time underwater guided by a qualified instructor. Under the old system, a diver could complete the beginning Openwater Class and have a total of only nine dives under the direct training of an instructor to become certified as an advanced diver. The SDI (Scuba Diving International) Advanced Diver Development Program requires a new openwater student to take four SDI specialties or equivalent, along with having a total of 25 dives.
If you are an adventurous technical diver who wants to go beyond the limits of recreational diving, TDI (Technical Diving International) and Beaver Divers can take you to the next level of training. Specialties that qualify a diver for a Technical Diver certification are the following: TDI Nitrox Diver - for the diver wishing to choose the technical path; Advanced Nitrox - learn to use a Nitrox mix of more than 40%; Extended Range - learn to dive properly to a depth of 180 feet on air; Decompression Procedures - learn to do staged decompression; Semi-closed Rebreather - become certified to use the Draeger Dolphin Rebreather; Nitrox Gas Blender - become certified to mix Nitrox; TDI Equipment Service Technician - learn to handle O2 and clean equipment.
Consulting with the expert staff at Beaver Divers will take the guesswork out of buying scuba equipment. Our professionals will help you select the best gear at affordable prices so that you can dive safely, comfortably and confidently. Whether you are a beginning diver or an experienced technical diver, we will provide equipment to meet your needs. Beaver Divers is an authorized Scubapro/Uwatec dealer. Beaver Divers also offers the finest rental equipment available. If you are not ready to purchase our own scuba diving gear, you can still have peace of mind about the quality and safety of your gear by renting our BCDs, regulators and dive computers. Our complete rental fleet includes new weight integrated BCDs, the highest quality regulators, and hoseless, air-integrated computers. The best part about our rental program is that a one-time rental will apply toward your future equipment purchase. That enables you to check out gear before you make that important, once-in-a-lifetime purchase.
