Blue Planet has a staff of experienced instructors who can offer training to divers of all levels. Because a diver’s education doesn’t end with an Open Water certification, we offer a variety of courses to help the certified diver expand their diving knowledge, improve their skills and abilities as well as provide an additional level of comfort and safety.
For the person who wants to dive but is not yet certified, the Open Water course is the first step in your diving education. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely conduct entry-level dives and begin enjoying the underwater world. For the certified diver who has realized the need to learn more, we offer courses such as Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Nitrox Diver. These courses will build on the diver’s experience, increase the diver’s comfort level and open up exciting new diving opportunities.

Whether you are shopping for BCD`s, regulators, computers, or maybe just a mask or fins, Blue Planet has equipment that is consistently rated best by industry publications such as Rodale`s Scuba Diving magazine. Our selection of surf wear is absolutely the best on the Treasure Coast. Supporting our local skate customers means a great deal to us at Blue Planet, and we do it by providing a giant selection of the latest decks, wheels, trucks, T-shirts, shoes, pads, videos, DVD’s and skate accessories. The Blue Planet Dive Club is an organization that will schedule 12 club trips per year. These trips will be anywhere within the state of Florida. Some examples of locations will include: West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Central Florida Springs, Key Largo, Pompano, Islamorada, etc. The trips will be for club members only; however, membership is not limited to certain times of the year (you can join at any time).
The Blue Planet Dive Club goal is to explore recreational diving; this is going to be an ecologically friendly dive club with our goals staying in line with protecting the environment.
Location description: We have found some of the best dive charter operators to take divers to the reefs and wrecks of South Florida. The hard part is deciding where you want dive. We regularly dive the areas of Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Pompano, Ft. Lauderdale and of course Key Largo.
Most reefs of West Palm Beach are in the 50-60’ range which makes it ideal for new divers or divers looking for longer bottom times. Another reef line sits in about 85-95’ and is sometimes done by request. The ledges here are usually no more than 5 feet high but they are covered with tons of coral and sponge growth with colored tropicals everywhere. Some favorites are Double Ledges, Paul’s Reef and Breaker’s. Two of the favorite wrecks are dove on a regular basis by all of the West Palm Beach charters. The Mizpah is a 185’ Greek luxury yacht in about 90’, and the Princess Anne, a former ferry, is a 350’ long wreck in about 95-100’. Both wrecks are home to a large amount of marine life.
