Scuba Diving is an adventure you have always wanted to try! Now you can! The exciting sport of underwater diving has come to Columbia. You can experience the beauty and adventure and mysteries of the undersea world with the trained divers from Columbia Scuba.
Come join us for an introduction to scuba diving!
The Discover Scuba/Splash Party is PADI program designed to give non-certified individuals the experience and thrill of the underwater environment. We provide you with all the equipment needed except a bathing suit and towel. The cost is only $10 per participant. Minimum age is 10 years old. Additional dates can be added for groups of 8 or more. This is a great activity for your local youth groups, business associates, friends, and relatives. For more information, contact us at the store.

Beginning each November through March, our local Quarry is closed for the winter season. Students have the option of deferring certification dives until April or they may receive a referral letter to have the certification dives completed on a warm water vacation trip.
Academic training is held in our in-store classrooms at the corner of Dobbin Road and Herrmann Drive, and all pool training is performed in the nearby Columbia Association pools or the Indoor Swim Center in the Village of Wilde Lake near Columbia Mall.

NORTH CAROLINA WRECK DIVES
Join us for another season of warm-water wreck diving in the Gulf Stream`s clear waters off the coast of North Carolina! We had such success with these trips last year that we`ve nearly doubled the number of trips for this year.
These trips sell out VERY quickly! The trip fee covers the boat trip only, it does not include lodging, equipment, tips, or transportation. We typically do 2 boat dives a day on the offshore wrecks or rock ledges. Visibility averages from about 60` to 100`+. You can lobster, spearfish, or simply sightsee. Lodging is available at the Dive-Dive, a 3-bedroom waterfront house with full kitchen and satellite TV. The boat is docked directly behind the house. The boat is 48` in length and is certified to carry 30 divers, we take only 10. Nitrox is available for those who are certified nitrox divers. Tank rentals are also available. The diving offshore is generally 100`-130` deep so an Advanced certification is required.
