The NAUI Training Center at Deep Six Specialists, Inc. offers all levels of Scuba Training from Basic Openwater Diver through Instructor Trainer. Deep Six Specialists, Inc. also offers a wide range of technical diver certifications. Our NAUI Certification programs are far above the industry standards and are recognized worldwide. We put you first in selection of your education and equipment needs.
Our carefully chosen product lines consist of the best major manufactures along with the latest technology available in snorkeling and scuba diving equipment. Deep Six Specialists, Inc. equipment includes full scuba systems, wet suits and dry suits, multiple accessories, cylinders, technical dive gear, dive bags, books and much more.
Deep Six Specialists, Inc. offers a complete repair facility along with cylinder hydros & inspections performed by certified technicians.
SNORKELING: Whether you are playing in your backyard pool or getting ready for the vacation of a lifetime, make your snorkeling experience enjoyable. When you learn how to snorkel, your mask and snorkels will not leak, your kicks will be easy and powerful, your ears will never feel the pain of depth and breath holding becomes natural. Our professional staff is eager to show you how quick and easy it is to become a “SNORKELER”.
Phase I of your Open Water SCUBA Diving course will involve 30-32 hours of classroom and pool activities. Classroom materials are contained in the DEEP SIX PACK.
Phase II of your NAUI/YMCA Scuba Certification involves five Openwater Training Dives. You will have different options to complete your five dives.
THE ADVANCED SCUBA DIVER COURSE is the next step after The Basic Scuba Diver Course. This Advanced Diver Course is two academic sessions, one confined water session and six openwater dives. Topics of course include: Basic Skill Review, Dive Computer Usage, Buoyancy & Trim, Air Emergencies, Pony Cylinder Usage, NTEC Configuration, Sac-Rates, U/W Compass Navigation, Night Diving, Introduction to Recreational Search & Recovery, Deeper Diving.
THE MASTER SCUBA DIVER COURSE is the next level beyond the Advanced Diver Course. You will personally increase your level of diving enjoyment and skills via a wide range of activities. This is an excellent progression towards the NAUI Leadership roles and or in becoming a Technical Diver. The following is a general list of specialty courses and activities that are offered as part of the Master Scuba Course: Deep Sport Diving Specialty, Wreck Diving Specialty, Search & Recovery - Light Salvage, Night Dive Specialty, Equipment Repair & Maintenance, Master Diver Underwater Navigation, Diver Assists & Rescues, River & Current Specialty, Underwater Scooters, Underwater Voice Communications with Full Face Masks, Marine Environment, Master Diver Academics.
Basic Specialties Include Dry Suit Workshop, Equipment Maintenance, Marine Life Identification Course, Night Diver Course, Basic Nitrox Course, Technical Equipment Configuration (NTEC) Workshop, Underwater Photography.
Advance Specialties: Deep Diver, Ice Diver, River & Current Scuba Diver, Search & Recovery Diver, Wreck Diver.
Accident management includes following programms: DAN O2, ASHI CPR, ASHI First Aid, Rescue Scuba Diver.
Leadership Courses Include Assistant Instructor, Dive Master,
Instructor (ITC) & Cross Over.
Technical Diver Courses include Introduction To Technical Diving; Technical EANx (Nitrox) Diver; Decompression Techniques; Decompression Techniques Diver Course; Helitrox Diver; Heliair, Trimix I & Trimix II; Mixed Gas Blender Course; Wreck Diver – Penetration; Technical Wreck Penetration.
Location description: TRAVEL - Come Dive with us. Local and Great Lakes Diving plus worldwide adventure. Our instructors lead our trips. We can customize individual or group travel.
Escape with us to the beautiful Bahamas and spend a week aboard Blackbeards, a live aboard dive boat, with 65’ sloops designed especially for diving. Explore Grand Bahamas, Biminis, Berries and Andros Islands of the Western Bahamas. Reef, wreck, wall, drift, night and shark dives are offered. Encounter magnificent coral gardens adorned with schools of brilliantly colored fish and sponge covered walls plummeting from shallow depths to infinity. End your day with a great night dive and/or gazing over the glittering water at the shining stars above. Oversized berths and below deck air-conditioning assure a peaceful night’s sleep. Experience the local night life on May 4th when we spend an evening in port. Enjoy walking along the white sandy beaches, prepare for a mouth watering meal and breathtaking sunset.
Blackbeard’s trip is for divers and non-divers. Dive Charter starts and leaves from Freeport, Grand Bahamas Island.
$1,379.00 - Trip includes: Round Trip Air Fare on Delta Airlines from The Akron/Canton Airport, lodging aboard Blackbeard’s, group ground transportation, Bahamas dock departure tax (subject to change), diving, cylinders, air fills, weights, belts, meals and beverages (beer, wine, rum, soft drinks, juices, coffee, tea & water). Not included: Personal dive gear, towels, Bahamas airport departure tax (approx. $20.00) and tip for crew. Nitrox gas is available at $100.00 for the week. Two spaces left. A deposit of $400.00 per person is required to confirm a boat reservation. Airline tickets also need to be purchased.
