Dave started learning rebuilding, repair, and flow testing work under the direction of an Indianapolis dive shop owner. While there, he shared responsibility for servicing equipment for the Indianapolis Fire Dept., Indianapolis Police Dept., Indiana State Police, and various other fire departments. He is registered with the International Registry of Scuba Technicians, and is a PSI certified Inspector . Dave has had factory training with the following manufactures: Aqualung, Sherwood, Oceanic, Mares, Interspiro, and Atomic.
With all Dave’s training and certifications, he will have exclusive responsibility for all repair and maintenance at the Diving Den.

Location description: Local dive areas are quarries in Indiana, Ohio and Iliionois and shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. Although diving in quarries is usually considered a necessity for training only, most divers find that those dives give them an excellent chance to develop their navigation skills, along with working on buoyancy and air consumption. The shipwrecks of the great lakes are fantastic opportunities to see old wrecks perfectly preserved in the cold, fresh water.
Jeff and Dave have also begun setting up trips. They have already taken a group of new and not-so-new divers down to the springs in the panhandle of Florida and have set up a Blackbeard`s cruise for February 2006. If you are interested in trips, or any information about dive destinations, please stop by the shop and talk to Jeff and Dave.
In Cass County, Indiana in the 1940’s, workers mined limestone from a large quarry known as Old Kenith Quarry. The quarry was seven acres in size and was surrounded by steep cliffs on three sides and a sloping area on the fourth side. Eventually the the mining stopped and the site was abandoned. The huge crater which remained eventually filled with water from the many underground springs. Today this idyllic area has become the Cass County, Indiana park known as ``FRANCE PARK.``
The steep cliffs are an attraction for rock climbers; the slopping sandy side is now a beach and the water attracts SCUBA divers, snorkelers and swimmers. Winter brings cross-country skiing, sledding, ice fishing and ice diving. An extensive network of trails attract hikers and bikers year round. There is miniature golf and an 18-hole disc-golf course. Other facilities include several acres of campground where there is a convenient store. A concession stand is available at the beach, as well as an air station with SCUBA and snorkeling rentals. The air station is open weekends only during the months of May through October, 9 AM to 5 PM. If warm weather permits, the air station season may be expanded.
