Company description The Peninsula Diving Center was established in 1981 as a quality oriented facility in which to learn diving and snorkeling, and for divers to have a place where they could go for the utmost in service and support.
Since its inception, the store has strived to keep the public informed of the latest equipment developments and changes to diving techniques. PENDIVE`s rental and instructional equipment consist of super performance regulators and other diving related technologies.
The store`s onsite heated pool is an additional bonus we offer to our customers and students for practicing techiniques or to try out new equipment, before or after purchase.
Introduction Program to Peninsula Diving Center`s Rental Equipment:
First time renters get a 25% price reduction on their first weekend rental. In addition, equipment not reserved in advance, and picked up on Saturday, is reduced by 25%. For future rentals, if the renter spends 1/2 an hour in the pool practicing prior to the rental period, they will receive 25% off the weekend rental fee. The practice must be done within 10 days of the scheduled dive. The three plans can not be mixed - the maximum discount is 25%. Rental equipment not reserved or otherwise committed, can be used in the onsite heated pool for free.
We make it easy for you to book your trips. Email us with your requested dates and times, we will check availability, and then do the booking. And at the same time we can send you directions, arrange for rentals, or answer questions pertaining to the boat. All within 24 (business) hours. We use all the Monterey boats and book you onto any of them and match your schedule.
Training and Certifications
– Our staff is trained using techniques and styles developed and used by all agencies, including WASE/NASE - WorldAssociation of Scuba Instructors/National Association of Scuba Educators - and then enhanced by our real world experiences, our primary certifying agency is WASI - World Association of Scuba Instructors - and we use them simply because through them we can offer the best in training. For those that would want the other certifying agency cards (PADI, NAUI, SSI), they only need to ask.
Primary Training and Certifying Agencies we use:
– WASI/NASE (Worldwide Association of Scuba Instructors & National Association of Scuba Educators), SSI (Scuba Schools International), YMCA, PADI (Professional Association of Scuba Instructors), - there are certainly more, but these appear to be the most popular in our area and all of these are excepted World Wide.

Our store is conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley and is easily accessible from Hwy. 101, Hwy. 280, and Hwy. 85. Our on-site, heated pool, allows our students, and former students, to follow up their classes with unlimited and free practice, including all pool equipment. Our in-house repair facility allows us to insure that our training and rental equipment, along with customers equipment, are always in the best condition.
On-site Heated Pool
The pool is available year round for divers and snorkelers to practice their skills prior to vacations or water excursions. For students and former students, there is no charge for this service, including the use of our tanks, BCD`s, and regulators (wet suits are available for the pool on request). Use our pool to try our equipment prior to purchase or to get familiar with your new equipment. Preparing for a warm water vacation? Answer the question of whether or not your wet suit is adequate for where you`re going by trying it in our 82 degree pool.
For the non-diver, we also offer a Try-Out SCUBA class (free), to give you a chance to experience taking a breath under water. Try-Out SCUBA classes for groups of you and your friends, co-workers, etc. on an appointment basis.
We also rent our pool for private splash parties and birthday parties (with safety personal), and for swim training, water survival training, refresher snorkeling and SCUBA classes - all with SCUBA Instructors.
