Buoyancy control becomes even more valuable because you aren`t just freezing a moment, but taking scenes that shouldn`t make your viewers seasick.
The best digital camcorder you can afford, with a underwater housing, lights, a fast computer with multiple drives, the latest editing software, and lots of time is all you need.
With that said, get wet as soon as possible and start having fun bringing back those memories and turning them into something you can use, other than for getting rid of the relatives.

About one hour after dark, on the eighth
night following the August full moon, the
coral explodes into action filling the water
with millions of eggs. The BB sized eggs
mix with sperm that has been released a
little earlier and float to the surface to be
carried away by the current.
Later, they settle back to the bottom to
find a suitable hard surface and start a
new colony.

The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary is a federally
protected marine area. Lying about 110 miles off the Texas coast,
in the Gulf of Mexico,a coral reef system thrives. The healthiest and
northernmost coral reefs in the United States of America system
are a spectacular site to behold, and are a National Treasure.
Due to some 20 years of efforts by researchers and scuba divers,
the FGBNMS received ``some`` federal protection when designated
a national marine sanctuary but they still need further help to insure
this amazing area can endure for future generations.
The
Flower Garden Banks
National Marine Sanctuary area is one of the most intriguing places on earth. Oil companies explore and drill, scientist study everything from salt domes to spawning
coral, and divers pursue all the possibilities of
open ocean encounters.
Located in the northwest Gulf of Mexico, the
East and West Banks contain some of the
healthiest coral in the northern hemisphere,
and Stetson Bank, well ...
Stetson needs to be seen to be believed.
