Company description We are CT`s largest P.A.D.I. 5 Star I.D.C. (Instructor Development Center) and the only National Geographic Dive Center in CT. Classes are offered from Open Water diver through Instructor. Please view our ``Education`` page for class/event dates and times.

As an authorized PADI National Geographic Dive Center, THE DIVE SHOP is excited to offer you the ultimate experience in underwater adventure, conservation, and the exploration wrapped into one intense experience that will change the way you dive.
We are the area`s largest dealer and offer a wide selection of swim wear (featuring Fastskin II & Aquablade), athletic wear, goggles and accessories. The inventory is added to daily and is in the store year round. Swim Teams: We offer quick turn around and guaranteed service - with quantity discounts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is a ``performance based`` program which means we move at your pace. Cost is $195.00/student for Part I (academics and pool sessions), instructional material $69.00 (student folder, book, dive table, log book, PADI binder) or $49.00 (same but w/out the PADI binder). Each student needs to provide their own: mask, snorkel, fins (we recommend boots with the fins) - we provide the rest! Once you complete and pass your final written test, you can now go and perform your 4 open water certification dives - anywhere there is a PADI facility - OR you can travel with us on a warm water trip and our group leader (always an Instructor) will certify you for FREE!
We sell only ``quality`` equipment for your snorkeling or scuba diving experience. The product you can purchase at Walmart, Costco, Sports Authority, etc. is for ``kiddie pool use only`` and will not withstand the environment in which you may be snorkeling or scuba diving in.

Master Scuba Diver is the highest recreational diving certification that PADI offers. To become a Master Scuba Diver you must log 50 dives and complete the following PADI Courses: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Five Specialty Diver courses. No one said prestige was easy to come by, but it is certainly well worth it. As a Master Scuba Diver your experience will open a new level of confidence whether you are diving local wrecks, quarries, reefs or exploring exciting dive environments around the world.
THE DIVE SHOP Dive Club was established January 2003 - ``Friends, Education, Diving, Safety, Fun``. Our mission is to promote local diving as well as Caribbean & Pacific Travel. We offer monthly dive trips to local destinations and everyone is welcome to join us. We hold our monthly meetings (January through November) at Mario`s Pasta Garden, Federal Road, Brookfield, CT. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM with guest speakers/presentations starting approximately at 7:45 pm.
Location description: TRIPS for 2006: Little Cayman Beach Resort, Roatan - Inn of Last Resort, North Carolina ``Wreck Diving``, Plaza Resort Bonaire.
Little Cayman: 7 nights, 17 boat dives, round trip airfare, 3 meals/day, hotel tax & island transfers (double occupancy).
Roatan: 7 nights, 3 boat dives/day, 1 night dive, unlimited shore diving, round trip airfare, 3 meals/day, 16% gov. tax & island transfers (double occupancy).
North Carolina: We are aboard the Olympus for a 4 day live aboard - we only take 12 people on this trip - first come, first served...enjoy the wrecks of a lifetime in the graveyard of the Atlantic, meal package will be available.
Come join us again to see Ebby and Lewis at the Plaza Resort Bonaire upon their new boat. This trip includes: 7 nights in a Grand Ocean View suite, 6 days of 2 tank boat dives, unlimited shore diving, free beach BBQ on Tuesday night, free Nitrox for the week, transfers on the island, round trip airfare and breakfast. (standard rooms and villas are available upon request). Spaces are usually sold out quickly, don`t miss out on an experience of a lifetime.
