Company description Interested in Scuba Diving, but just not sure if you`d like it? PADI DISCOVER SCUBA was designed just for you!
Discover Scuba is a brief introduction to SCUBA, just to see if you like it! We`ll show you a short video about SCUBA diving, then you`ll join one of our PADI professionals in our heated pool. You`ll get the opportunity to experience what it`s like to breathe underwater. You`ll see how easy it is to effortlessly glide around the pool beneath the surface.
In short, you`ll get the chance to see why so many people find learning to dive is FUN at Underwater World!
With our in-house heated pool, you`ll find our schedule incredibly flexible. It only takes an hour or two and the cost is only $25. Even better, if you decide to sign up for lessons at Underwater World, we`ll credit your Discover fee towards the cost of your course!
We offer PADI classes to meet your needs:
*Open Water Diver
*Advanced Open Water Diver
*Emergency First Responder (First Aid & CPR)
*Rescue Diver
*Divemaster
*Specialties such as Enriched Air (Nitrox), Deep Diver, Night Diver, Underwater Photography, and many more!
We can tailor an Open Water Scuba Class to meet your scheduling needs:
Group Classes - Fee: $249.00
-Five lessons
-Generally taught in five class meetings
-Classes are scheduled on a regular basis at convenient times for group training.
Private Classes - Fee: $425.00
Will be taught on a ONE on ONE basis.
Classes are scheduled to meet the needs of the customer.
Pricing does not include the certification trip and rental equipment.
Minimum age of students is 10 years with signed permission of parents or guardians.
All Training provided by our staff of PADI certified Instructors and Assistants.
Your certification dives can be done locally or on our scheduled trips.
Location description: Underwater World dive trips make a fantastic vacation! Diving in great locations is always fun, but it`s even better when you go with a group of people you know! Come talk to us about our upcoming trips. Trips will be planned according to the demand and requests!

Gilboa Certification Trips:
Gilboa Quarry is a flooded stone quarry that has been set up as one of the Midwest`s premier scuba and scuba training sites. Located about a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Cincinnati, Gilboa offers something for divers of all levels.
Underwater World makes frequent Open Water Diver Certification trips to Gilboa from late spring through the summer months. As well, Advanced, Rescue, Enriched Air (Nitrox), and other Specialty Certifications are available on our Gilboa trips!
Divers appreciate the easy access, in and out of the water at Gilboa. There are a variety of things to explore below the surface at Gilboa, including a twin-engine airplane, a school bus, several boats (including an airboat), and assorted cars and trucks! Gilboa offers a number of fine platforms where instructors and students can work through their required certification exercises! Enriched Air (Nitrox) fills are also available at Gilboa Quarry.
Typical Gilboa Trip Details:
Students must provide your their transportation!
We provide maps; we also caravan.
Open Water Certification Fee - $135.00 per person.
Equipment Rental (if needed), add $90
Hotel Accomodations (in Findley) - $36.00 per person.
(Students share a room with another diver.)
Gilboa Diver Entry Fee $12.00 per day.
Camping at Gilboa - $8.00 per night.
