Rich Hackford, the prezident of Dive Zone Ltd, started spearfishing and catching lobster on the wrecks off the coast of Long Island in his early teens, then while serving in the U.S. Navy, Rich got the chance to experience exotic dive locations throughout the world, while logging in hundreds of dives.
As a New York City Police officer, Rich Hackford was a member of the elite Emergency Service Unit. In this capacity, he trained officers in dive rescue throughout the five boroughs of New York City. He also has worked in the movie industry as a stunt rescue diver for motion pictures filmed in New York.
Now, as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Rich Hackford offers training for all levels of recreational scuba diving as well as underwater photography and many other specialty dive activities. As the President of Dive Zone Ltd., he encourages safe and sound dive training for all who want to experience the underwater world.
