Vacation Trips
As a courtesy to our divers, Diver`s Emporium arranges dive trips to various locations during the year. We have arranged trips for divers to locations all over the world. Some as close as off the coast of Texas and the Bahamas to as far away as Truk Lagoon in the Pacific.
Dive Charters
So, you want to go diving off of our beautiful Emerald Coast? Well then you are in for a real treat. Please come and join us and let our charter boats take you away to our multitude of dive sites while you relax and enjoy the friendly service of our shop and the ships crew.
Location description: Our local boats take you from Choctawhatchee Bay, through the Destin Pass and into the Gulf of Mexico just south of the Destin/Okaloosa Island/Fort Walton Beach area.
Destin/Okaloosa Island/Fort Walton Beach offers a boundless variety of dive sites certain to meet your needs. The most popular diving begins just three miles from the Destin Pass. This area is well known for its fantastic natural reef system, with limestone rock ledges covered in soft corals, sponges and a wealth of game and tropical fish. The rock reefs provide homes to the shovelnose and the popular spiny lobster. Scattered throughout this area, the reefs range from two to 10 feet in height, with depths of 50 to 115 feet. Observant divers discover several species of shells, and photographers delight in magnificent colors and abundant photo opportunities.
Area waters also offer outstanding wreck diving. This area is home to the tugboat wrecks, the Janet and the Miss Louise. Other known wrecks in the area are the Thomas Hayward Liberty ship and the Joseph E. Brown Liberty ship. Numerous barge wrecks include the Tanker barge, Brown barge, Air Force barge and the Phoenix barge. Spear fishing - very popular on the wreck dives-yields grouper, cobia, snapper, flounder and amberjack.
Club Aquarius
Club Aquarius is a social club for active divers and non-divers alike. Through the club, divers meet other divers, exchange dive stories, travel to exotic dive spots and dive locally. With your membership you’ll receive special rates on all group organized trips, professionally escorted hassle free trips, advanced notice on sales and special events, reduced air fill and dive charter rates, meetings with guest speakers and presentations, social functions to meet and greet diving friends, and newsletters to keep members informed.
We here at Diver’s Emporium are sure that you will enjoy sharing your diving adventure with us, as much as we will enjoy letting us serve your diving desires.
They operate year round, offering dive charters to sites off the coast in the beautiful emerald green waters of the Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa Island/Destin areas.
For your comfort and enjoyment, our boats is docked behind Leeside Inn, a marina, on Okaloosa Island in the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area.
Dive trips are $70.00 for a two tank dive, $90.00 for a three tank dive, and a two tank night dive for $80.00 Tanks and other equipment may be rented from Diver’s Emporium.
