Turtle Reef Divers has been serving visitors on our Island for over a decade. We pride our self on having one of the best organizations located in the Lahaina, Kaanapali Beach area in Hawaii. All of our classes are taught by seasoned Instructors to teach you the proper information. Our water skills are taught in a confined shallow water area of the ocean. This shows you the environment that you will be in. I have found in the past that pool training can present a major problem of over anxiety when students go to the ocean to complete the class or go on an underwater tour after their certification is complete.

The beach dives include all equipment if needed. In Hawaii, you will see more Marine Life to depths of 50-55 feet. Turtles, eels, rays and many species of fish can be seen.
Honolua Bay: This Bay is excellent for intermediate divers and snorkelers. Beautiful reef to both the left and right side of the bay. A narrow black sand beach for sunbathing. All in all, it`s a beautifully protected bay with a good variety of typical reef fish to check out. Turtles frequent the area. No spearing, for it`s a game preserve. Depths are to 35 feet. Divers should go out to the right for deeper water while snorkelers can find shallower water to the left in about the twenty foot range.
KAPALUA BAY: This site is good for intermediate divers and snorkelers. Out to the right side of the bay there are three lava fingers that extend out to seaward. Depths to 40 feet can be expected. There are lava formations as high as 25 feet from the sand. There is a good variety of typical reef fish and a frequent turtle can be spotted. Kapalua Bay is fronted by a really beautiful sand beach. It`s a nice place to relax and warm up after a dive.
Dive Olowalu: Maximum depth is about 25 feet inside the bay. This is a great snorkeling area, and a good dive area. There is plenty of coral and small reef fish with lots of turtles, especially further out in the bay. Towards the outside of the bay to the west is Hekili point. Divers frequent this area often. Non-aggressive white tip reef sharks are usually plentiful out there. There are no facilities to speak of, except the Olawalu general store. This beach is spread across about a mile of coastline along the Honoapiilani Highway from about the 13 mile marker to the Olowalu General Store. The best part of the beach is around the 14 mile marker. There is no parking lot, pull off onto the beach from the highway. Be careful not to park in loose sand. This is a convenient, fairly well protected beach. The coral formations remain in shallow water for a considerable distance out from shore. The surf is normally gentle, but consistent, with scuba diving, snorkeling being excellent. Divers will need to swim out a ways to deeper water. There are lots of turtles and a good variety of reef fish. The green sea turtles can be a delight at this location.
